Abraham is described as a collection of evolved non-physical entities. They are channeled by Esther Hicks, who also gives many public workshops. Essentially, the message of this book is that your thoughts and feelings determine your reality. Esther acknowledges that she first encountered the phrase, "You create your own reality" in Jane Roberts' Seth books. The Seth material, however, while also channeled and carrying a similar message, is far more complex and technical. I find the Seth books interesting and may reread them some day, but if you are primarily interested in putting these ideas into practice, as opposed to studying them, I would recommend Abraham. The advice Abraham gives again and again is that it's important to feel good, because how we feel attracts more of what we have, whether good or bad. A simple message, and one that has been stated many times before, but unless you have truly mastered it (or dismissed it as impossible, in which case this book obviously won't be of interest -Abraham makes no effort to prove the "validity" of the ideas to skeptics) this book is one you should definitely read.
Granted, many people come to Abraham seeking financial abundance, but that is just one tiny aspect of a person's total package, and that was never why I was attracted. I was/am attracted because Abraham reveals simple steps to personal peace and understanding in a very down-to-earth manner that simply cannot fail when applied.
I've read most of the Abraham books, so before I purchased this one, I was concerned that the information would be too repetitive. I was wrong. I find that although this touches on the same philosophy as the other Abraham books, this one expands more than any of the others on the law of attraction, the science of deliberate creation, and the art of allowing. It's different from Ask and It is Given in a few ways. Ask and It is Given is a good overview of Abraham's teachings of the law of attraction with many processes in the second half of the book. This book felt fuller in that it answered many good questions and spent more time explaining the details of each part of the creation process.
Definitely worth reading!
THIS BOOK? It makes you take a look insnide--map of your mind and how it thinks--good way to clear out rubbish and get going with your life. Just realize it takes a lot of work--no instant pie. You DO attract into life what you put out!
I like this one.
