Dia has won her bid to be the Queen of Los Angeles also known as the kingdom of Heaven. Nate Silver, now vampire but once he was a vampire hunter, sits at her side. He is her sheriff, plays one in a TV show Dia owns, helps her control her kingdom, eventually he becomes a real sheriff in the human world as well as the vampire world.
Vampires start dying in Dias' Kingdom and she wants Nate to put an end to the killings. They make her look like she is the one doing the killing. Nate is honest, too honest by vampire standards so the other vampires trust him to figure out who is the killer, even if it is Dia. Dia has faith in him, he will solve the killings and she will be proven innocent.
How this mystery is solved makes for a good read. I am certain you will enjoy this book.
