Law in a Flash is a great supplement that helped me with intentional torts (my semester was heavily weighed down with these). The cards provided useful mnemonics to help remember the elements. The cards cover more than just intentional torts, but that was my primary need for the aid. I highly recommend this supplement!

These flash cards were better than any supplement I have purchased, so far. Any ambiguities I had were cleared through these cards. Even topics I had a tough time with after speaking with the professor personally, were cleared up through these cards. Great for help with multiple choice questions especially, because they give great hypos. Also great for essays because they lay out the elements of each tort, defense, etc., and explain them. Also, one of my most favorite parts was the acronyms they provide. I would recommend these flash cards to anyone suffering through, or even sickly enjoying, torts.

You really need to figure out what supplements work for you. Everyone in my class loves the law in a flash. I didn't however, because it was way to dense. So it really is what works best for you! I loved the questions and answers and the barbri online questions. I also really LOVED the barbri lectures. Though this was not for me, several of my classmates really loved.

These cards are great because nearly every answer has the elements of the tort and the reasoning behind the answer. It was repetitive and annoying while studying, but reading the same reasoning over and over really ingrained it.

Torts exams are touchy-feely and your essay answers have to be geared toward your professor. That being said, 1L torts are survey courses which can cover a huge area of case law. These flash cards helped me memorize a large number of concepts correctly in a very short period of time. After cramming with these cards, I was able to pour loads of relevant information into the issue-spotting portion of my exam.

One word of caution . . . It's important to listen to your professor. Some of the content, while maybe "correct," was not in line with my professor's teaching. Undoubtedly, your professor will disagree with some minor point of law presented in these cards.

I'm a big fan of the Law in a Flash series. These cards make for a great supplemental study aid. The best feature, in my opinion, is the "scenario" questions. These are like mini-fact patterns designed to get you thinking about one particular issue. I've found these to help get my mind around particular topics in a format conducive to an essay style exam (which all of my instructors use). I do wish that the cards had some more "concept w/definition" cards (where one side gives a word, concept, or issue, and the answer side has a rote definition), but it's not a major issue. I also do think that there was a bit too much repetition at times, and the product could have been pared down a bit. But maybe that repetition helps some people, despite annoying people like me.

If you're in a non-ABA law school (mostly found in California, Alabama, Tennesse and Massachusetts) then these Torts flash cards are wonderful! The first 250 cards or so cover things like the evolution of contributory negligence to comparitive negligence in the 46 states that use the comparitive negligence doctrine. The format of these cards is fun and tests your knowlege of black letter essentials using actual names in situations that are spoofs of your favorite cartoon characters from childhood such as 'Wiley Coyote' These torts flash cards are wonderful! These flash cards can always be found on Amazon for $20 to $30 which law students know is a very good price!

I bought this product about 2 weeks before my torts final. The black letter law cards are prety generic and you're likely better off following what your specific professor says. On the other hand, the hypothetical cards were very helpful.
