This book explains one of the more esoteric of the operational arts, which is legal subversion. Originally authored as a contextual legal resource, the book picks up speed using illustrative chapters later in the book to drive home the reality of this phenomenon. The contemporary sampling of threats is substantial and always grounded in American Constitutional principles. Those looking for rhetorical Islam bashing will not find it here. Instead, readers will find a thoughtful book, which has been organized to maximize its utility for Legislators, Policy Makers and Intelligence Professionals working in the National Security domain.

This is a mandatory read for anyone writing about Islam, Islamists, the Arab Spring, and terrorism. It's a working manual that's helpful for any journalist and a fascinating survey of legal cases. The authors have a great website worth checking out here - http:[...] - with updates.

Brooke and Aaron have hit the mark with this ground-breaking gem, a seminal work that offers a comprehensive yet concise look at recent threats to free speech by opponents of freedom and liberty. Meticulously researched and cited, Lawfare serves as a rich resource for attorneys and a usable guide for journalists and free speech proponents. It is recommended reading for Americans and our allies in democracy and human rights, to bring the world up to speed on this component of the virulent threat facing our way of life.

I don't believe anyone, except our enemies will be disappointed by reading this book.

Review written and submitted by Paul Manning

This is a must read for people who care about protecting and preserving human rights. The authors begin with a step-by-step explanation of relevant parts of the Bill Of Rights, beginning with free speech. They focus on the salient points of defamation of character - true defamation as opposed to unfounded allegation - and smoothly go on to myriad other twists and turns applied by those who attack and demonize innocent people through bogus legal procedures. The anarchy known as Sharia Law - which contains all of the most violent applications imaginable - is exposed in all its horrific detail. It makes the bloody fist of Marxism look like a sock puppet. These actions - from treatment of women to the condemnation to death of those who disagree with their religion being most notable - are now slowly being applied throughout the world. Israel is in greater danger than ever. Europe is teetering before our eyes. The United States is in the cross hairs, and some shots fired have hit their target. And American politicians and sworn officers of the courts are complicit with victories won, especially in the propaganda war. The installation of the Islamist extremists into the protected class of American Political Correctness is frightening beyond words. And Americans blithely go about their business, unaware of the certainty of annihilation spreading all around them.

Authors Brooke Goldstein and Aaron Eitan Meyer have researched and skewered both the perpetrators of this new attempt at world domination, and exposed the foolishly pacifistic "leaders" in the West who are allowing it to happen. They are courageous beyond words, and beacons to the world.

Thoroughly researched and masterfully written, Brooke Goldstein and Aaron Eitan Meyer have truly struck gold with their foray into the publishing world... "Lawfare: The war against free speech" gives a comprehensive overview and analysis of the players involved in the war against free speech and the tactics they use to silence their critics.

Goldstein, who lived in the Palestinian Authority while making her documentary "The making of a Martyr," is no stranger to the agenda of radical Islamists. While in the Middle East she arranged interviews with active and armed members of the al-aqsa martyrs brigade, Fatah, Islamic Jihad, and even Hamas, and understands fully well the dangers these groups pose to Israel and to good people in the Palestinian Authority and surrounding areas.

Having been on the front lines of the global war on terrorism, Goldstein gives perspective and insight into the nature of the conflict, and the way forward for America and the West.

This book is a must for anyone who believes in free speech. The assault on free speech has generally been kept out of the public eye through the use of lawfare. The result has been a stifling of public discourse on the issue of Islamism leading to political correctness and self censorship by publishers and the media in general for fear of being labelled racist or Islamophobe. Only through education and the free flow of ideas and opinions can the public be kept informed. I highly recommed this book.

HIGHLY informative, and scary. Somewhat dry, but it IS a legal theory/history presentation, so I wasn't surprised by that. The comparisons between the US and the UK are generally pro-US, much to my relief (I was glad to find out we were doing well in that regard).
