In-LawFully Yours is a romantic comedy about JESSE, a fun-loving New York City girl, who, after her husband CHAZ cheats on and divorces her, still graciously helps her recently-widowed mother-in-law, NAOMI, pack up her home in small-town Bethel Cove. But, Jesse s candid wit, eccentric questions, and big city ways clash with the local community. When Jesse butts heads with the town pastor, BEN, who also happens to be her ex-husband s brother-in-law, the unlikely duo discover what they are both looking for: each other . But when Jesse & Ben make their relationship public, Jesse s ex-husband rallies the community against her and gets Ben fired from the church. Jesse leaves Bethel Cove to bring peace to Ben s situation, and to hopefully find a place where she truly belongs, in spite of the fact that she can t stop thinking about Ben.

1 the characters are clear that they like each other. None of that stupid misunderstanding that only gets clarified in the last two minutes of the movie.
2. The main characters are considered good Christians when they show kindness and compassion, not that they are good BECAUSE they are Christians.
3. The pastor and Catholic priest are both nice, good characters. None of that evangelical bias against other religions.
4. It was a funny yet poignant story. I guess I just liked it!
As a Christian, I was happy to see a "Christian film" that doesn't bash people over the head with the Bible. It's not a message movie meant to make people get on their knees and pray at the end. It's a pretty standard rom com, with characters who happen to be Christian. The funniest parts of the movie unfold as Chelsey Crisp's character explores just what it means to be a Christian. Her awkwardness asking questions in church or socializing in Christian circles is very entertaining.
Nice way to pass a few hours on the couch. Recommended.
So this one it is not a disappointment for me at least...overall a feel good movie..
