The mower comes with a 20 ounce container of oil. According to the manual, the engine calls for 16 ounces,
but mine seemed to require just a little more, before it was full on the dip stick.

The mower took two pulls to start the first time. Not bad considering there is no choke or primer.
Since then, it always starts on one pull, and pretty easily at that.

Did a great job of it's primary function, mowing/mulching the lawn. It really looked nice after I was done.
I did notice some extra grass around from mulching, but it was pretty long.

The mower seems to be of very good construction. The wheel adjustments are very sturdy.
There are holes in the steel frame for the wheel adjustments.
According to the specs, this mower goes from 1.5 - 4", and it comes to you all the way down.
I raised it up three clicks for my mowing height.

I was also very glad to see that there is an indentation in the handle for the green squeeze/start bar.
This is MUCH more comfortable to hold when you're cutting. Most of the less expensive push mowers
are not like this.

I really like the large rear wheels. We live in the city, but our yard is still bumpy.
The large rear wheels make a big difference, so it doesn't feel as rough when mowing,
and you're not bouncing all around.

I also prefer the Push mower for two reasons ... 1. You get a little more exercise,
and 2. There are less things to go wrong. For this particular mower, it is very light,
and very easy to push.

I have not used the grass catcher yet. I read a review on another site, that the mower would
plug easily while catching. I can see that being a possibility, as the hole is pretty small.
However, I almost never use a bag ..

I'm not a handyman - I'm a musician, so I'll get right to the point
- The assembly was easy, almost right out of the box (the handle needs to be put together)
- Oil was provided
- It started right up after a couple of tugs (there's no primer, or apparently any need for one)
- It cuts the lawn very neatly and evenly.
I've only owned this lawn mower for a few weeks now, so judge accordingly...

my husband loves his new lawn mower. It's rugged and does everything he needs to do with little effort and good results. He wanted a 20" which was hard to find. after looking everywhere we found this Lawn Boy on Amazon. it certainly fits the bill with its easy maneuverability, clean cutting and great price!

Time to assemble a little long, especially the cable for the deadman switch. Oil level is hard to determine as the dipstick tends to scrape the sides of the fill tube. When oil is new, it is hard to see the level since the oil is almost transparent. Had to take repeated levels as the level indicated on one side of the dipstick was not the same as the other side. Motor started within two pulls every time, but I've only used the mower four times so far. I may update next year at this time when I've had more experience with it. Large rear wheels a plus. In mulching mode, it does a reasonable job leaving few clumps of grass, and even those get dispersed if I run over them a second time. The one star I didn't give it was for the size of the grass catcher. It is tiny compared to some I've had before.

Almost One Year Update: I purchased this in August 2013. As of April 2014, it is still humming along nicely. It very rarely needs three pulls to start (usually two will do it). I am pleasantly surprised with its performance.

I've been using this mower every week since mid-April and it is now late August. The mower never fails to start by the second pull. It is better than I expected as I am replacing an old (real) Lawn Boy. This one doesn't mulch as well as the old one, though. The grass is not chopped up as finely as the old one did, so there are clumps of grass when I'm finished mowing, and I really miss not being able to mix the oil and the gas. A drain plug would make it easier to change the oil.

The mower runs strong and I like the many choices in deck height. Starts OK and seems pretty easy on gas usage. I have used it about 5 times so we will see what the future holds. One other thing, very reasonably priced.

This mower does its job very well.

I've always liked Lawn Boy, and this mower meets my expectations. Quiet Briggs engine, very lightweight deck, and it starts on one pull.

Having used many different makes of mowers, I can say this is one of the best. Some have commented that it can't handle long grass. The reality is that few, if any, mowers will be able to cleanly cut grass longer than about 8 inches, and if you start by cutting the grass on the highest setting and then drop it lower, it will do just fine.

Great mower at a good price.

I have a very small lawn (40ft x 40ft) and this mower is just right with it's 20 inch cut. It's light and easy to maneuver. Very straightforward instructions. Easy set up and operation. The only thing I don't like so much is the rear door you have to lift up to attach the bag. To latch the bag frame into the notches on the mower it feels like you have to pull the door up beyond it's limit. I previously had a Murray. The clipping gate on the Murray was much easier to open and the bag would slide easily into place.
