Okay so I just received this today so haven't had a nights sleep yet but initial impressions are:
Size: perfect! I'm 5'2'' and it feels great. I feel like there's extra pillow for taller people but it's not too big for me. I like that it wraps around my whole body and the support between my legs is just right. It also doesn't seem too big for our queen size bed either. I was really worried about that but the pillow and the person sort of become one, so it's not like it takes up a ton more space than I already do.
Fluffiness: feels spot on right now. Nervous that it will lose its umph but right now it's plushy and not firm and also not flat. I like it
Comfort: this is very comfortable around my body. I'm 5 months pregnant and I feel supported but also comfy. I like the material of whatever this is stuffed with.
Cover: very disappointed in this cover. I was expecting the feel of the Target jersey sheets which are very soft. This is scratchy and not soft at all. It doesn't feel jersey at all. I took a pic of the tag and it's confusing bc it says 100% polyester material where it should be mostly cotton. But then the tag says the cover is 87% cotton and 13% polyester. It does not feel soft like cotton at all. I paid extra for this so I'm pretty disappointed by that and will probably contact leacho. Maybe after a wash it'll get softer but I doubt it. Makes me wonder what the regular cover feels like. And makes me wonder if other colors are softer. Normally heather grey is a very soft color in most fabrics though.
Overall this pillow is very flexible and workable and comfortable while being supportive. Hoping to have a good night sleep tonight but will update accordingly!
This is the most amazing pillow ever. I had one when I was pregnant and used it for years afterwards, but it got ruined (my fault). I bought a cheaper maternity pillow last year in hopes that it would be as comfy and no way! Finally got this one again and I am in heaven! I am not pregnant, but I am very overweight. This pillow helps me sleep comfortably in several different positions and I wake up with no lower back pain. I do get pretty warm and often sweaty sleeping with it, but I sleep so comfortably during the night that I don't notice till the next morning.
I bought this some months ago when I was about 5 months pregnant since I kept waking up with awful stomachaches from sleeping on my back. This pillow kept me from rolling on my back in the middle of the night which has been wonderful. My husband and I share a queen bed and it does take up some space, but not much. We both like leaning against the pillow at night as it feels great on our lower backs. It can feel a little cumbersome to untangle yourself from the pillow in the middle of the night, but I wouldn't trade it for anything after all of the comfortable nights of sleep this thing has given to me! 5 months later it's a bit squished and worn out looking, but I would say it's more comfortable now because of that.
I have a love/hate with my Snoogle - but not because anything is wrong with the pillow, itself. Ever since getting pregnant, my hips and back have been killing me at night. The Snoogle is awesome, except that it's SO big that it's like having a third person in our bed - so, for the longest time, I didn't even use it unless I was napping during the day (and had the bed to myself). Then, when I neared my 3rd trimester, I couldn't deal with the pain any longer and brought it back into bed at night. It helps a lot, and when - around 3am every night - I can't handle lying on my side anymore, it helps me get comfortable in an upright position (basically using it like a big donut to sit on).
I'm very glad I have the Snoogle, even if it's SO big that it's sometimes cumbersome.
I want to start off by saying that this is my SECOND Snoogle, my first is over 6 years old, so it was time for a replacement. This one is softer and more flimsy than the one I have been using for the better part of 6 years. Do they make knock off pillows?!? I was THIS CLOSE to buying this at BRU this weekend, and the pillow is much less dense than the one there (weighs way less, trust me, I carried it around contemplating to buy it before deciding to use my Amazon points to purchase here). Maybe I was simply sent the wrong pillow? Clearly states that it comes with "Easy on-off zippered 60% cotton / 40% polyester jersey knit cover", which it did NOT. It came with a rough, weave on (like manually shove the worm shaped pillow through this 4 inch opening) cover that is a light gray, not heather grey, and most certainly not Jersey material. Just very sad; at 7 months pregnant, I need a good nights sleep! Will definitely update by review when I get what I ordered and what I paid for. Until then, this sad imposter gets one star.
The best investment I ever made! I am not even pregnant (sadly). If you like pillows, this is all you'll ever need. It's great not only for sleeping but I find it really comfortable to use to prop myself up when watching t.v or reading. It is so comfortable!
I was very skeptical about this, asking myself If I really needed a pillow ar this price? The answer is get one if you are pregnant or not! Definitely a must have- I don't know how I ever lived without one. Warning: will be stolen by doggies and significant other as soon as you get up.
This is the third snoogle I've bought, and I will likely buy more in the future. I have chronic back pain and this pillow has changed my life. I've gone through two myself through rough wear--one is now retired to the living room, and gets light use now. The stuffing gets smaller after about a year or so of everyday use, but still awesome. My newer one got a rip in it, but I sewed it up good, and it's working fine. The major downside is that the covers pill quickly, so they look old fast, but still not going to stop this customer. The third one I bought was for my pregnant sister, and she says it's the best baby gift she's gotten.
