Great for any type of travel

When I travel, I try to not check baggage, so I always need to fit everything in one quart-sized baggie. This set of four leak-proof bottles helps solve that problem. First of all, the zipper bag the bottles come in fits TSA requirements, but because it has a square bottom, more fits in the bag. Secondly, the neck rings on the bottles have an inner ring which rotates so the bottles can be labeled with your choice of soap, shampoo, sunblock, conditioner, or lotion. The caps themselves have a nice flip cap, so you aren't always having to unscrew a cap. Probably my favorite thing about the bottles is how soft they are. Some travel bottles are more rigid which makes squeezing out product more difficult. Not only are they easier to squeeze when using the product, the soft body also makes them easier to empty when you return home. For air travel, I will probably not use all four since that takes up all the room in the bag, and I need space for toothpaste, etc.I will use two for the products I don't leave home without. However, when camping or traveling by car, all four will be used.

Leakproof bottles but difficult to dispense small amounts

I'm always looking for the perfect travel bottles. I need 4 things to travel: shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, and lotion. Here's a list of what I liked and didn't like. They're not perfect so I'm still on the search...

Likes:

Perfect size for travel - not too big and not too small
Bag fits all 4 bottles with room for a few extra small things - decent quality
Love the soft, grippy feel of the bottle
Easy to fill
Doesn't leak!
4 different colors makes for easy identification of products

Dislikes:

Hard to turn the tab on the bottle to read shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.
Can't dispense a small amount - the liquid comes out in a big squirt and fast
Great for shampoo/conditioner, but not great for facial wash or thin liquids due to fast dispensing

Excellent product

I left my previous travel bottles in a location we traveled to, so I purchased these as an alternative. I enjoyed using these. I especially like the ability to change the label of what's in the container by just turning the dial to the desired product. That cam in handy with TSA and customs while we were traveling abroad recently. All I had to do was look at the container color to know what was in it, but when asked by TSA/customs officials I was able to show them the label. No fuss or muss using these. They dispense very well and not too much. With the additional carrying bag it was extremely convenient to travel with these and I was able to put other items in the bag (i.e. toothpaste, toothbrush). Overall a great product and easy to pack and use.

Perfect size for carry on luggage

Just took a trip to the Dominican Republic and used carry on luggage only throughout the entire trip, never once was questioned about the size. The bag they are in seems thin but it worked great to put bottles back in as well as some smaller items fit in the bag too, like lip gloss, mascara and such. The holes are big enough to get your product in to the bottles without any complications. My fiance and myself had plenty of shampoo,conditioner, sunblock and lotion for 7 days. Highly recommend these bottles, they are perfect for carry on's!!

Leak-proof (I tested with water). Has great feature of removable and adjustable ID ring, pre-printed with "Shamp.", "Soap", "Lotion", "Cond.", "Sun" and one blank spot, that you click into place to reveal--in a window on the ring--the type of product you fill it with. I make some of my own products in larger batches, and these will be great for using and refilling without having to throw away plastic! The travel pouch it comes with is also durable, with a vinyl zipper built into the clear heavy-duty vinyl pouch. I will be proud to give these sets as Christmas gifts!

Easily fixed a leak!

When I first got this set, I filled each bottle with water, put the lids on tight, turned them up onto their lids and left them all night long to see if they leaked. They didn't, however, when I gently squeezed them, three of them remained sealed but the fourth one leaked like crazy. When I emptied the bottle out, it was obvious the blue silicone at the top of the bottle was only partially sealed because it was standing up rather than laying against the white base of the opening. I turned the bottle over on its top again without the lid in place, gently pushed down on it and left it sit that way for eight hours. When I picked it up to take a picture of the loose seal for this review, the seal was intact just as it should be (see photos)! I tested it by filling it with water and squeezing it again and it held tight. Needless to say, it was an easy fix and I am now a happy owner of this sweet set of travel bottles.

Since they are much softer than typical plastic ones, it's easy to squeeze everything out of them and the openings are large enough that they're easy to fill. Most importantly, they're the perfect size for taking on an airplane. Since my husband travels a lot, they fit his needs just right and they'll take care of me too when I go visit him. I also really like the travel bag that comes with them to prevent any unlikely leaks in our luggage. Without the lid on, if you grab the white plastic base at the opening of the bottle where the lid screws on, you can easily turn the entire top of the white base to find the pre-stamped label for what's in the bottle. The stamps list shampoo, soap, lotion, conditioner and "sun," which I assume means sunscreen or suntan lotion. There is also a blank spot in case it's none of the above. This is a pretty clever design idea.

Easy to fill, easy to use

I appreciate the wide mouth on these bottles, making them very easy to fill. The silicone of course makes the bottles easy to squeeze but made me a little nervous as to how easy perhaps other things in my bag could “squeeze” them too. That hasn’t been the case. The lids are secure. The bottles seem to be able to handle being knocked around. The labels on the bottom are easy to adjust and reassembly is straight forward as well. Just make sure the silicone opening is correctly put back in place as the directions illustrate!
