I was a bit disappointed in the book. He gave some good info but he went on and on about the 100+ nutients that you need but never listed them. He also mentioned quite a few times that you will find information in the Resources section but the info isn't there, it just says to go to his web site. So, I go to his web site to find out what mineral supplements to use and it says the link is being fixed. He suggests several additional books that the reader should read and I guess that's what you have to do to get all the needed info. The book is interesting and informative but I don't feel it was quite complete.

YAY!!! finally a book that leaves out all the CRAZY Gimmicks and Fads! The author of this book seems to come out and speak to you like he is sitting down in your home and having a conversation with you. How fantastic would it be if everyone here in the States starts to follow these TRIED and TRUE simple life changes! I love how this book points out word for word what we can to do to live a HEALTHY life just by following COMMON sense!! Anyone can benefit and follow the simple steps. I would like America to be #1 when it comes to health and longevity. Why not beat the odds and become "Lean and Healthy to 100".

I co-own a Pilates and yoga studio, am very into health and have been living a healthy lifestyle for decades. I eat very healthy (mostly vegetarian and organic), supplement appropriately and exercise and stretch extensively due to my studio. I have been studying healthy lifestyles for years. When I heard about this book my first through was "what could this book possibly teach ME?" The author makes a lot of common sense and says things in a way that I have not heard before. It's a very easy read filled with an astonishing amount of insight, tips and common sense that REALLY got me thinking about how my body works and what it really needs. I realized that even though I thought I was doing everything right, what I was doing was not necessarily the right thing according to the author. And, I agree with his daily checklist at the end of the book. I realized that it's not "how much" you do, it's really about "doing the few things that truly make a difference". It really is as easy as the author says, once you have the correct information. Highly recommend!

I was skeptical upon hearing about this book from the author himself when I heard him on Radio Disney. Like most people, I've tried everything and have lost weight only to put right back on. OMG, I almost cried when I read parts of this book because it really is the "missing link" for me and probably most Americans and I never came across this information before in all of my years of trying to lose weight and get healthy. Like he says on the cover, "why weren't we all taught this before"??? The author explains everything so simply and clearly and the way he lays it out and walks you through the logic is amazing. After reading the book, it is so easy to see why our society is getting fatter and sicker and how simple it is to stop the cycle. I am definitely recommending this to all of my friends.....plan on getting copies for Christmas gifts!

This was a great book that got right to the point in letting you know so many tips and tricks about living a healthy lifestyle. He does not beat around the bush, but jumps right in and lets the reader know exactly what they need to do to be able to take proactive steps toward changing their life. What I loved about the book was how much sense the author makes and how easy it is to implement his ideas. Anyone that reads this will be able to simply pick up this book and get engrossed in the text, and come out so much better than when they started!

Like many people out there, I have struggled with health issues and have been very disappointed by the medical field. They can't seem to find causes and after one thing is better, something else goes wrong. I was curious about this book because of this bullet "Why most diseases are easily preventable and even curable by your own body".
I believed in that before reading the book but I wanted to know what I could learn from Gordon Filepas.
There are 2 reasons why you should read this book:
1. You have heard and found out information about what to eat, what vitamins are needed, etc..from a doctor here, a doctor there....an article here, an article there, etc... just like me.
But this guy, he had a passion for finding out the best way to eat and be heatlhy. He went on to read and study, and do trial and error from information he gathered from hundreds of doctors and scientists from all over the world for 20 plus YEARS. He did his homework.
2. His intent was for his family, not to come up with a way to make money.
Doesn't it make sense to take a closer look?

This book is excellent! It is very informative and a must read for everyone. I found so many new ways to lose weight and get healthy. The book is full of years of research and information that is easy for people to understand. This is the only book I will need for helping with my goals of being lean, healthy and living a long life.

This has been a great book to read and reference. It makes a compelling case for steps towards improving your health and energy. I appreciated how the author gave an overview of many concepts and directed to other books and websites for more details. I have started many of the recommendations from the book and website and have already noted significant improvements in just a few weeks. Most remarkably, I have found myself sleeping soundly through the night and waking up feeling rested. This has given me more energy and focus throughout the day. I have a line of people ready to read my copy and have purchased more for Christmas gifts. Thank you!
