Speaking of special, this book was that for me, well written, deep characters with flaws that we all have, striving to find love and that special
person who just "gets us". You have totally brought this to light in the pages this book and gave us a peek into these men's lives and showed us that love is possible for everyone.
I loved Nicks quirky way of looking at the world and that he let himself open to the possabilty that there was more to life, that there was another way to live. I loved Wes for his depth of character, his wisdom in allowing Nick to be himself and embracing all that was special and unique about him. They complimented each other like two parts of a whole. Thank you Lane for the hours you allowed your readers to see inside this very unique and special relationship. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a great romance with a small amount of angst, as its not my favorite, and enjoys reading about amazing people finding each other and finding love!
Well developed characters and plot line compliments 'Lean into Love' -- as it should since it is second in Lanes new series.
If you have enjoyed her other works you will not be disappointed by this addition.
It is a May-September romance as well which is something I personally enjoy.
I can't help smiling even as I write this.
I should have known better than to start a book by Lane in the afternoon as once I started I could not stop and ended up staying up till after 1am to finish as once you get into the story it is impossible to put down until you know they are going to ok. Thank you for making me fall in love with Nick and Wes. It is a must read. This author is an auto buy for me and I cannot wait for what is next.
Then there's Wes. Holy silver fox alert! Wes is sooo who Nick needs in his life, as Wes understands Nick more than anyone has before. He's dominant and tender at the same time and he's my new book boyfriend. Wes is maybe a little too perfect at times and Nick still has habits he can, and needs, to break. They are awesome together and the steam they give off could blow up a manhole cover!
I was a little lost in the business connections and negotiations at times but it didn't impact my enjoyment. Secondary characters were done well too. Geordie, Wes business partner, Nick and Eric's friend Josh, and maybe Finn, one of the investors, will be featured in coming books, I'm sure. The "Better Than" series was a favorite but I didn't connect much with the last two series Lane wrote. This is looking to be even better than "Better Than"!
