UTG Sportsman Tactical Scenario Vest, Black, PVC-V568BT
Want a sturdy vest for your professional duties or recreational sports, but do not want to go for the full weight material? This is the perfect choice. It incorporates the complete, serious combat mode design with absolutely no scrimping, but uses lighter weight material for best performance as well as the sporty look. You get to easily carry your all gear for quick and comfortable access in diverse sportsman scenarios.
A Well Executed Design
Sniper shoulder guard well protects you from recoil. Various pouches for walkie-talkie, differently sized magazines, holster, and elastic shot shell loops can be found ergonomically placed on the outside front of the vest for efficient access when speed counts. Many customers especially expressed thanks for the backside web system providing additional, hands-free carry options for gear and tools. From shoulder tops to waist, from left side to right, the vest is designed to be most generous and accommodating to different body types and sizes. Attention to even the smallest of details is our no-compromise motto.
Leapers UTG is known for providing total solutions to a wide consumer base, from all walks of life to different age groups. The scenario vest offers a choice many simply cannot refuse. Fall in love with the authentic look and feel, including the adjustable universal rifle-type magazine pouches, the modular cross draw sidearm holster, the shot shell holders as well as the pistol mag pouches.
High Quality Stitching, Seam Lines – Great Attention to Details
Dense stitching and heavy gauge seam lines throughout the entirety of the vest meets the real world or scenario demands for well built, durable, and rugged use gear. Quality zippers will not snag, preventing additional slowdowns from occurring.
Second-to-none Rescue Drag Handle
The UTG Rescue Drag Handle on the back of the vest provides maximum strength for un-expected situations. This small and yet critical component went through painstaking efforts in design and testing to guarantee the highest dependability when you need it in any rescue scenario.
Breathable, Well-Ventilated Mesh Material
Vest material is breathable, well-ventilated, and dries quickly keeping moisture to a minimum and allows for comfortable prolonged wear. Housed within the breathable and well ventilated mesh system are 2 large zippered internal map/document pouches ideal for storing hunting tags, licenses, identification, and other valuables.
Interchangeable Mag Pouch and Holster
The vest includes a hook-and-loop attachable modular double-mag pouch as well as a right-handed holster. They are interchangeable to meet demands of different missions. Both of these components come with belt loop(s) on the backside, usable as a belt mag pouch or a belt holster. The holster fits most of the popular full size double or single stack handguns on the market.

If you're interested in covert or tactical ops, this vest probably isn't the best choice, as the Velcro closures are loud and if you have to access a pocket, everyone will know where you are. Also, the handgun I use is a little heavier than most, and I carry it in the cross-draw pocket, which has a 2-point attachment to the vest with a Velcro backing. If I'm stooped over and moving, or jogging at a fair pace, the weight of the gun makes the Velcro backing engage and disengage ever so slightly, giving a small ripping sound to my movement. This was alleviated by using a lighter gun, but it was one I was inexperienced with and I feel safer with my practiced sidearm.
The radio pocket is also good for a cell phone being used with a Bluetooth headset. I always use a headset in my left ear (I'm a right hand shooter) so I don't have to use my right hand to access the device, and I can keep my firearm trained on my target.
On the plus side, the vest is really adjustable and for a guy like me (5'8" 200 lbs) is can be quickly made to fit like a glove. There are three straps on each side which give a wide range of sizes and shapes it can accommodate within a whole 10 minutes of tweaking. Sized properly and in conjunction with the belt, it distributes weight very well across the whole upper body. I haven't had to use all the pockets and pouches yet but so far everything I've tried to put in it has found an appropriate sized home in easy reach. The holster fit my sig sauer P229 with what feels like room to spare, and with enough extra mag pouches I feel like I can carry some serious firepower. The extra padding on the right shoulder was also a welcomed feature for when I'm shooting a shotgun. So for less money than I've spent on some individual holsters, I now feel like I have that option for strapping up quickly any time day or night regardless of what I'm wearing.
As for the drawbacks, this vest is definitely going to take some breaking in. There are a couple of spots where I can feel some crisp corners (not that they cant be over come by a good cotton tshirt) but they'll go away with time and use. As for the holster, for those who've had some experience with firearms can tell you that a sig sauer P229 isn't exactly a small pistol. That being said, the holster still feels a bit roomy so I cant imagine that a smaller pistol would be easy to get out without having to reestablish a proper grip. The retention strap on the holster is also secured with a normal clip like the belt which almost requires two hands to operate. I think a simple thumb break would be more appropriate for one handed operation which would leave the other hand available to perform other functions.
Though I did find some drawbacks, I am very happy with this purchase. I really feel comfortable operating with this vest and for less than $50, I don't think you could go wrong.

It is very well made for the price. The only thing I had to do was go over it removing loose threads from the velcro attachments in a couple places.
The holster fits my new pistol better than I expected. The pistol mag pouches easily fit two 1911 mags each and I have no doubt would fit a double stack mag like the Beretta with no difficulty.
As usual with these vest types, fitting it is still an ongoing process as it needs to be tweaked and such to fit right, then geared up, then tweaked again. I have found no attachment, clasp, velcro, of other issues so far.
I plan to use this in security and emergency management capacities and it seems well suited to the job. I look forward to getting it out in the field and working it out.
Took me a while to figure out how to attache my holster to the belt but that was my own fault. On the insert that comes in the packaging there is the back view of the holster and extra magazine pouch...you need to pull the velcro backing open and slide your belt through it same for the extra magazine pouch. Purchase this vest and enjoy it!
