Learn to Love: An Oakview Lesbian Romance Novel Kindle Edition
Lex Daniels is a self-proclaimed screw up. Twenty eight and deep in debt, she has plenty of demons and more than a little baggage. Her life is a collection of one night stands and running away, right up until she meets Abigail Keyes.
Widowed, intelligent, and beautiful, Abigail isn’t exactly Lex’s normal type. Suburban life makes Lex feel sick, and Abigail’s neat ranch house and steady career as a professor mean that the older woman embodies everything Lex has been trying to run from.
But when Lex’s demons come knocking on her door, Abigail is the one that steps up. And Lex finds that she’s changing more than she thought possible. Maybe more than she feels comfortable with. Running away is Lex’s default setting, but she might be willing to stick around for Abigail.
If you don’t believe in love, perhaps you just need the right teacher. But when Lex’s demons start haunting Abigail too, running away could be the only option...
Learn to Love is the fifth novel in the Oakview series, and features a HEA ending. Oakview books can be read independently and in any order, just be prepared to see some familiar faces around town!

Lex likes him a lot - in a brother / friend kind of way. He seems a good balance to Lana, who can be a bit of a stick in the mud, and too serious.
Lex has some dark in her past, aside from their deserting father when both girls were quite young. Luke wants money and thrives on pain. Not a good stalker to have.
Lex is intrigued by Abigail, a GED advisor, instructor and recent widow. The two could have a someday future if both can let go of past pain and present additional complications.
A suspense filled f/f romance, with personal family and friend growth and challenges added in.
Lex Daniels is on the run again. She is on the run from her life, her bills, and the mistakes she keeps making over and over again. This time though she is going to follow through because she has a plan so that her next escape plan will be foolproof. Her sister lets her stay rent free in her apartment while Lex gets her GED at the local college while her mother pays the minimum on her bills. Lex only needs a couple of credits, so she will not be staying long which suits her fine as she likes to keep on the move. As she’s moving on campus she runs right into Professor Abigail Keyes and she presses all of the right buttons for Lex. Abigail is older though and is dealing with her own life issues, but the freshness for life that Lex has is revitalizing Abigail. The road for them would not be easy if they gave in to temptation, but can they both Learn to Love before Lex’s mistakes catch up with her?
Sienna Waters does not shy away from the chance that we may not like Lex in Learn to Love. Lex is twenty-eight-years-old and still growing up as she has never had a desire to until her mistakes get so huge she might not have a choice. Waters writes a character that is like some women today, I met some of them in school. Watching Lex’s growth and her interaction with her family and the changes that result are real; Waters does not create a false reality for readers to create a happy ending. I think this is what made me root so hard for Lex and Abigail, despite the hardships they both help each other grow as individuals. They both teach each other. Waters does not create a one way street in their relationship for which I am grateful and I enjoyed reading. I make this sound like a very serious book, but there are very funny moments and the book is a good fun read that just happens to cover heavy topics. There is some sex (yay!), but it definitely did not happen the way I thought it was going to happen or the way Lex thought it was going to happen (laugh). Waters makes you want to go back to school, even if only to watch Abigail walk down the hallway.

I enjoyed the read. The writing was easy to follow and mostly engaging. I did have trouble with some of the dynamics between the main characters. Given the age and the maturity of Abigail, I find it difficult to believe she would fall for Lex, at least that quickly. That being said, I will read this author's future works.
