The content is relevant and easy to read, but there are "assignments", for want of a better word, that require quite a lot of thought and input. These help you understand your business and its needs better, but mean that unless you had a full day to read each chapter and complete the assignments it would be virtually impossible to learn social media in seven days.....so the title is a little misleading.
Still, given the readability of this book and what seems like sensible and sound advice, it's worth purchasing and reading.
Just allow yourself more that seven days, unless you are in a position to drop everything and focus solely on this book.

Linda Coles breaks it all down into simple, manageable steps. One Day (chapter) at a time she explains everything you need to know about social media in general, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. She then shows you how to put it all together with useful templates and real examples. Packed with enough but not too many supporting resources, Linda uses her own business to demonstrate how to apply what you'll learn.
The conversational style makes this easy to read and understand for anyone who doesn't yet know what a #tag is and how to use it. If you're already using social media platforms, this book is still worth reading - you may pick up something you can add to your online marketing approach. If you've been procrastinating (like I was) about getting your business social media up and running, this book removes the excuses!
Why do I wish it had been available two years ago? Well, the template for a social media plan for one. Linda's advice is straightforward and easy to follow and takes you through all the elements of a successful presence in each media. Getting into social media is one thing, what you do when you are there is a whole other ball game and this easy to read book covers all the angles. Recommended.
