It follows the lives of a group of school students. Caitlin is the school newbie. She doesn't usually bother making friends because she and her mother never seem to stay in one place for very long, so what's the point? Landri is one of the first students she meets. Landri has a whole mess of stuff going on in her life and she and Caitlin become unlikely friends. Wes, Teresa and Evan have been friends for ages but welcome Caitlin and Landri to the fold.
Most of the main characters have issues they need to face. Some of these are very typical teenage problems, and some much more than any teenager should have to contend with. I felt that these problems were dealt with in a realistic fashion and I enjoyed the story and it's flow.
A great deal happens in this story and I don't want to give anything away, but trust me, there is plenty to keep you entertained. I'm sure that you will find someone you recognise amongst the main characters, and possibly the supporting characters as well. I love the relationship between Wes and Evan. Evan made me laugh a lot. He's adorable.
If you want an easy read with some lovable characters and flawed but wonderful support characters, this is a great read for you. I saw more than a little of myself in some of these characters. I was reminded, once again, why I'd never want to be a teenager again :D
This was my first read from Tara Lin Mossinghoff ... But it will not be my last.
I found that the book is easy to relate to because these teens have to figure out how to nagivate through realistic ups and downs in life and find their way to continue moving forward and learn from their experiences. I'm leaving it vague as to not give spoilers.
I recommend that you read this captivating book. It holds your attention all the way through and leaves you wanting to find out what will happen next. Follow the characters' senior year of high school and what becomes of them upon graduation and further. Must read!
Wes has lost his parents and is dealing with more than most teenagers could imagine but when they meet they instantly feel a connection neither expected.
I loved how this book didn't just focus on Wes and Caitlin falling in love but about friendships as well.
This was one of those books that drew you in and you felt so connected to all the characters who were all amazing and had me laughing out loud quite a lot. It wouldn't be one of Tara's books if I didn't shed a tear or two but they were happy tears I promise!
The ending was awesome and felt so complete.
You won't regret reading this book!
