I purchased this game for my 12 year old son for Christmas. Since he has no siblings, I am usually his oppponent for all games. This game was challenging for both of us, used strategy as well as luck, moved quickly enough that we stayed interested, and was easy to start playing without having to read a huge amount of rules and instructions. I think it helps with math skills, too, but isn't so difficult that younger players wouldn't enjoy it also. I also like how it stores all pieces into its plastic frame to keep all of the game pieces together. It also has some ideas on how to play a solitare game if you can't find someone to play with. Altogether a great game.

I was able to teach my 3 children ages 6 to 9 in minutes and they played game after game; they really enjoyed it and didn't even realize they were practicing addition and multiplication too.

This is a great way to sneak math skills to your kids. It is a fun colorful, mostly durable game that is different every time you play it. GREAT variety, and it is kinda fun to see the patterns that emerge with each game in the way colors and shapes fall. This can spark interest in complex shapes and artistic endeavors too - nice side effect. My 8 year old would play this every day if his siblings would join in.. and play it a dozen times a day, if he could. Younger kids can play with help (my 3 year old "teams" with mommy but plays her own pieces... mom helps her do simple math).

The game stores best with all pieces in the board and the lid on the board... the bag is useful, but things don't fit back together well if you store the pieces in the bag, but the bag is SAFER, and you are less likely to lose pieces.

The only problem we have had with durability was with the scoring pawns. They were thoughtful and included two... so you can leave one where you started in case you make a mistake... then the one behind catches up and gets placed on top for the next jump ahead... The pegs though are only plastic and weaker plastic than they appeared to be.

A Deluxe version of this might be prohibitively expensive, but it would be elegant done in wood... It is lovely just as it is, but they should have a better way to seal the top and bottom so you don't lose tiles by storing them in place since this is the best fit.

This game is similar to triominoes in that you are matching colors to be able to lay down a piece. This game uses a little math. To get extra points, you multiple numbers if you land on certain spaces. To keep track of your points, there are little pegs you move around the board. I like that aspect of keeping score. It is more fun than writing down numbers on scrap paper.
