From the Back Cover
After spending years focusing on overcoming life-controlling issues (an eating disorder, self-injury, and same-sex attraction, to name just a few), Brenna Kate Simonds' heart still longed for more. The issues she still faced--self-loathing, despair, doubt--were at times far more insidious than what she had already been through.
Is this it, God? She cried out. There must be more than this!

Since I know Brenna personally as a dear friend and sister-in-Christ, I was expecting to ‘see’ and ‘hear’ Brenna while reading this book. Instead, I saw and heard God very clearly and loudly; the reality of Jesus as a personal savior and friend in Brenna’s life is undeniable. Parts of Brenna’s story made me cry as I thought about some of the painful experiences she endured, but ultimately her story makes me want to shout “Hallelujah!” because it testifies of God’s grace, power and redemption. Thank you for sharing your story, Brenna. Great job and to God be the glory!
This book is amazingly helpful and addresses our greatest needs, but it never lectures. Simonds shares her own personal experiences in a way that gives tremendous insight and opens readers open to new experiences and significant healing.
Actually, she's too nice to be a threat to Bill; but she is the author of a tremendous book!
Many step-by-step books are all about just trying harder to be a better person or change yourself. This book is NOT one of them. Brenna sheds a refreshing light on the simplicity of the gospel — and its sufficient and SOLE power to transform your heart.
