Fraud! Not actual Wells Lamont gloves

I do not believe these to be actual wells Lamont brand gloves. I usually buy them at the hardware store but they were out of size small so I ordered online. They do not fit the same. The leather is considerably thinner and feels super cheap. It’s soft, but not in the good way, it feels like I could tear it apart. Stitches are loose and fraying. Some of the stitches aren’t even stitches, but stamped to look like stitches. The leather is already gored. I will update after I actually use them but I’m a little wtf at the moment

Wells Lamont driver gloves used to be super durable. Not any more. I used a new pair of these for four full days of hard yard work and they were mostly shot by the end--holes in two fingers, and the palm coming apart. Yes, gloves wear out, but that just shouldn't happen with less than a weeks' work. Too bad because they are super comfortable and otherwise work great, both protecting your hands well while not compromising dexterity. I could be mistaken, but I think they used to be made of deerskin rather than cowhide leather.

It’s been a while since I bought these gloves and I wanted to put them through their paces before I left a review. And I have to say these are great gloves they’ve held up for exactly what I need them to go out into the bush a lot I’m handling firewood and chopping and cutting and sign and doing a lot of bush craft. Nothing has come apart in terms of stitching no rips no tears my hands didn’t turn yellow from prolonged use. I normally take between a medium and large but I bought an extra large so I could put on a pair of liners underneath when the weather gets colder, I even put in my own grommets and attach some para cord loops to them so I could attach them to my pack on the outside .. definitely two thumbs up for this product
