This is fantastic as a starter kit. It has everything you need! In addition to the kit I used some embossing tools bought separately, an exacto knife, leather-specific tracing paper and a cutting board and mallet. I found out only after I finished my first project that latigo leather isnt meant for tooling and I was still able to do this hair barrette, which I think looks pretty cool.

This kit covers most of your basic leather working tools. The kit has provided me with everything I need to complete many basic to medium difficulty projects. Great value set for the price. I do wish that it came with a leather working maul or hammer, as I had to purchase that separately. But overall this set provides a lot of bang for your buck. It features decent quality tools in a convenient carrying case. Not much more I could have asked for.

This little beginner kit was just what I needed to begin to teach myself leather craft from online videos. With the current Covid-19 situation, the leather ships are all closed and I don’t have access to live stores or teachers. I took a chance on this kit and I am very pleased with it! I have used just about all the pieces already. I can see that as you progress in skill it will probably be necessary to purchase finer instruments to get a finer result. But those are VERY expensive. This kit is a GREAT BUY for the money and offers you the ability to learn without being too cheap to give a great result!

You buy a kit because you think there is a place in the case for the parts. Not this kit! The case is too small and you have to try to fool the parts to close the case. The quality of the tools is not too good. I haven't used it much but I don't think the sharp tools are going to last very long at all. They all need to be sharpened when you get them. Disappointed but not surprised for the price.

Broken case. My carry case was busted when I received it. Any way you can send me a new empty case? Seems like a decent set of tools to start my new hobby with other than that.

After using the tools a little bit I have a better review. Sub-par but for the price I guess it’s to be expected. The tools will get you started and let you understand what tools to buy. The stitching chisels bent going through a double 5 ounce making a pouch. They are junk so be very careful using them.
