I ordered the red version of the Keychain. It was smaller than I thought it would be (not that it's a bad thing), and has nice tools for everyday tasks. The knife is quite sharp, as well as the scissors (be careful). The scissors don't feel as strong as most of the other components, and is very small which makes it unproductive to use on an office environment to cut things like paper or what not. The screwdriver is a nice addition, and it has a nail file on its side too. It also includes tweezers which are very cheaply made (it is just made from 2 pieces of light metal pasted together), and are also quite hard to get out of its slot in the case itself. The case on it's own is quite beautiful,it has a nice flowing shape which is very pleasant to the eye, the non-colored side is quite nice as well, it's a piece of petal with cut-out circles which serves as a cover for the knife, the only thing I can comment on it is that it isn't as rigid as the other side, you can flex it with a fair amount of force. This isn't an all-purpose keychain, but for what it is, it is fairly functional, and very practical, it should be very convenient to have one of these on your keychain, as you would carry it around everywhere.

I bought this for an Altoids Survival/First-Aid tin I was putting together. I had a Leatherman Micra which is really good but I was looking for something smaller and it fit the bill perfectly offering a knife, scissors, tweezers and a nail file/screwdriver. It's about the size of one arm of the Micra and the cutting blade is nearly identical. Knife is very light weight and packs a lot of functionality for it's size.

Compared to my wife's Victorinox Classic, the blade is much thicker and stronger, the scissors are better designed and the tweezers seem slightly better too; though the knife seems a little thicker than the Victorinox and much thicker than the alox version (alox version doesn't have tweezers though).

Cons:
1) Nail nick on the blade is too close to the pivot point making it hard to open. I have no idea why they chose to do this as there's clearly room towards the tip of the blade.
2) Chisel-grind on the blade. Really? Would it have killed them to do a traditional v-grind?
3) A locking blade would have been nice. There's room on the knife for a liner lock.
4) Which brings me to my 4th point, there's a sizable gap between the blade and the stainless steel scale (back side, not pictured). It's large enough for another tool. I'm not sure why the left that space there on a knife that's obviously targeting the ultra-compact market.

Nice alternative to the tired old Victorinox

I read some of the negative reviews of this knife. I always read the negatives to see the potential problems. Here's my experience:

-the accessories, while firm, aren't annoying to deploy. It doesn't crack my nail, hurt, or anything like that. I imagine they'll soften up over time too. I have no complaints.

-I don't know why leatherman always shows the colored side of this knife in pictures and in the packaging. Flip it over and you'll see a stylish aluminum piece with holes in it. It looks like half of a Leatherman CS. It looks even more attractive on the silver side.

-I like the scissor spring better than the Victorinox. I've had scissor springs fall out of place on the victorinox; that can't happen with Leatherman's design.

-This knife is smaller than the length of my index finger and is only about half an ounce. It weighs less than my car key! Perfect keychain tool.

-I haven't owned it long enough to verify or disprove one reviewer's comment about rusting. My take is: who cares? This knife cost me $14. If it lasts a year or two, I'll be happy.

Pros:
lightweight
great styling
sharp knife & scissors

Cons:
The tweezer is a bit rough to get in and out but might ease up over time. Considering how rarely I use the tweezers, this doesn't bother me.

I prefer this to the Victorinox. Either way, it's great to always have a small knife and scissors on you every day in order to snip loose strings, open packages, and file the occasional jagged nail.

I love this knife. I had lost my old one, so I picked this out, and my wife gave it to me for my birthday. It's a great size, it seems solidly built, and it looks neat. The negative is that the blades are hard to open, and, in fact, they are even hard to see how to open. (I guess the good thing is that they don't come open in your pocket.) The blade is very sharp, and if you aren't careful, you could cut yourself attempting to access it. The scissors, are also difficult to access, but they work well. Also, as I look at the picture, I see a pair of tweezers. I've had the knife for two months, and I didn't know it had tweezers! I guess I'll go take a look. Overall, this is far superior to the cheap swiss army key chain knives I've had the past several years.
