Editorial Reviews
Out-of-print in the US! Two CD set containing digitally remastered versions of the remaining 30 tracks from Led Zeppelin's nine studio albums that were not included in the original four CD Led Zeppelin box plus one previously unreleased cut: 'Baby Come On Home'. Although the first box contains most of the Classic Rock radio staples, every track that Zeppelin recorded could be considered 'classic' and this second box is filled with them. Includes 'Moby Dick', 'The Lemon Song', 'Bron-Yr-Aur', 'The Rover', 'The Crunge', 'Black Country Woman' and more. Like The Beatles before them, the magic of Led Zeppelin would not have worked without these four talented individuals (Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham) and the musical landscape today would be much different had they not come together to create what is now known as Hard Rock. The box also includes a 48-page booklet featuring photographs, and complete credits. Warner.

Curious comments in this box's liner notes: 'It is the long-awaited final episode in JP's exhaustive digital restoration of the Zeppelin's studio canon and a vital summation...' (Sounds like it was meant as the end all to the catalog. 'but wait, there's more!': 'How Many More Times' indeed.) This compilation is my favorite for a number of reasons: Though I love the classics, the ones played to death on FM, I don't need a collection spotlighting those. I did acquire 'Mothership; and was frankly bored with the setlist, and hated the scratchy packaging. BS#2 has 2 jewel cases, a 50pp book, and an elegant thick box. Oh, and the music! To the folks who only know (or dismiss) 'Stairway' or 'Black Dog', ya gotta hear THIS. GTBTimes, HMMTimes, Hats Off, ICQYBaby, BIOHome, BWStu, OOTTiles, MDick... 150 min. worth of album tracks ignored by AOR and most folk in general. But oh man, what an assortment, what variety in style. My go-to for a reminder of how great this band really was, as evidenced by these 32 'lesser' tracks . . .
(also paid $8 for a 'like new' copy. 'Hot Dog!' $$ WELL spent) BTW, my fave album of theirs is LZII: perfect on all counts, songs, production, running order, album cover . . .
and with apologies to those that require a mere 3 word review -
Buy Box Set 1 and 2 together to get the complete studio recordings of the Led Zeppelin catalog.
Fans who want the chronological timeline preserved are better off with the Complete Studio Recordings box set. It takes up a hefty amount of shelf space on your library!
But for fellas like me who just want to compress the Led Zeppelin studio recordings into a nifty 6 CD set, get Box Set 1 and 2 together today!

There were 10 Album's produced, but the later Albums didn't quite have the same impact as the earlier ones, anyway they're still good to listen too.
I just love this Group perhaps one of my Favourite Groups of all time, there Music has so much Energy, and they were Great Entertainers.
