Built for size and weight restrictions on extended journeys. The Featherlite is regular size with premium fill. Temperature rating is a guage for experienced users who understand proper equipment use. Unlike other Ledge classic and oversize bags it is not a comfort rating but a guide for use.

high quality bag, someone complimented on the bag and when I told them I got it for $60 they were impressed. All the special features of any bag are on it. the sheild up top to zip you torso into the bag and leave just your head poking up to the top is there. zips all the way up to your eyes. the hole where you face is can get as small as your mouth. The zipper pocket was large enough for my contact solution traveler bottle and case. My compression pillow stayed where it was supposed to with the help of the mummy style rip cord on top. wish there was a pocket for a pillow... also wish I could have a pocket for a air mattress to slid on to the back.
One more wish I have for this guy is a better compression bag. make it a pouch on top that compresses the entire bag instead of relying on straps sewn into more straps. no big deal as I can buy one I like for less then $20. But I would have paid another $10 for a better compression sack.
as for longevity I cannot say...yet. If I ever modify my rating it will be because of a compliant. If I am happy with it my rating will stay the same. its silky feel inside and outside if that matters to you.
The only part I would change is some attention to detail at the zipper area. It is prone to sagging the bag during operation since the fabric comes rather close to the zipper.
This is more like a three-season bag. I would not recommend for winter use.
Warmth wise, two of us slept in these in hammocks in base layers and it got down to the low 30's one night and below 30 the next. With a pad, we were warm enough to get good sleep. I would say in a tent, the LIMIT would be 20 degrees. My feet were chilly at 30. Know what you're doing and this is the best 20-50 degree bag you'll find for under 75$.
Bag got wet night one and yet still kept me warm enough to sleep. Dried VERY rapidly and was good and dry for night two and three. Definitely wind resistant and the draft zipper works excellent.
Pros: Would buy again
Cons: Stuff sack will rip at seams if you continuously crank down on it
