Built for size and weight restrictions on extended journeys. The Featherlite is regular size with premium fill. Temperature rating is a guage for experienced users who understand proper equipment use. Unlike other Ledge classic and oversize bags it is not a comfort rating but a guide for use.

high quality bag, someone complimented on the bag and when I told them I got it for $60 they were impressed. All the special features of any bag are on it. the sheild up top to zip you torso into the bag and leave just your head poking up to the top is there. zips all the way up to your eyes. the hole where you face is can get as small as your mouth. The zipper pocket was large enough for my contact solution traveler bottle and case. My compression pillow stayed where it was supposed to with the help of the mummy style rip cord on top. wish there was a pocket for a pillow... also wish I could have a pocket for a air mattress to slid on to the back.
One more wish I have for this guy is a better compression bag. make it a pouch on top that compresses the entire bag instead of relying on straps sewn into more straps. no big deal as I can buy one I like for less then $20. But I would have paid another $10 for a better compression sack.
as for longevity I cannot say...yet. If I ever modify my rating it will be because of a compliant. If I am happy with it my rating will stay the same. its silky feel inside and outside if that matters to you.
Pros: I have never gotten cold in it. The temps have gotten into the teens. When it gets chilly and you're out backpacking, the thing you talk about in the morning is how your gear treated you. I am always the one that says "I love my sleeping bag". "I never got cold"
It's roomy. for me. I'm not a big person. I love that I have lots of room in this bag. I can cinch it up and get all they way in there when it gets brisk.
Cons. For backpacking you want ultra light. This is a bit on the heavy side. But good warm sleep is important to me, So important that carrying the weight of this bag is well worth it. I am always happy about my sleeping situation when I wake up.
The stuff sack is kind of cheap, I switched the stuff sack because the one this one comes with was bursting at the seams and looked ready to rip. I can't take that chance in the trail so I got a beefier stuff sack.
Hope this helps you make an informed decision.
