Since most of my gear is Lee Precision, I wanted to try this book out. I was very pleased to see so much information specific to my reloading gear, but even more pleasantly surprised at the sheer volume of load data. It seems as though a solid half of this book is all load data.
I would say Speer is a distant second and the Lyman is a very distant third, has the least amount of load data. Keep in mind I always go by the powder manufacturer's latest data from their websites, but having several sources to compare and contrast is really nice.
I would say without a doubt, if you can only have a single reloading manual, the Lee one is THE one to have. I certainly wish I could return the other manuals I have acquired.
Lee Makes great Product's give them a look before you spend way more on other brands.
you will not be disappointed
The introductory and how-to information is uneven. The discussion of presses, dies, and so on is mostly an advertisement for Lee products. There are detailed discussions of the factors affecting pressures of rifle cartridges, but spotty and disjointed mentions of those of handgun cartridges.
Overall, it is worth owning for the data tables, but a beginner will need additional sources to learn the mechanics of hand loading.
