2023. You don’t say. This film is like they took every buzzword and hashtag from Covid and stuffed them into the script ad-nauseum. Then they found a list of actors with no shame or investment into the film and hired them at cut-rate. It is so uninspired and vanilla, every line is canned. There is zero creativity, forward thinking, or talented acting here. Makes the original Left Behind (2000) film look like 1997’s Titanic. If anything, this film itself (as in, its very existence) is a stark view of today’s lack of soul or personality; a reflection of the pervasive evil dehumanizing our culture in these evil days. Movies are just going to get more brainwashy and less human.

    I'm not the most religious person in the world. I think the proper term for me is religious fluid. I try to look at the words of all religions to see if they have any common answers. I don't know what you label me because I think something exists, but I don't feel obligated at all to worship it as I never asked to be here in the first place. I was forced here from the decisions of two people that lived here before me.

    I still enjoyed the movie as it is a reasonable scenario that parallels the world we have now. AI has made incredible progress so it is a safe assumption to suspect not everything you see is real. I definitely see references to "The Mark" today. People signing up to get CPU chips in their heads and/or their hands. Its just REALLY tough to buy "The Rapture" at face value though. All I see are humans making sure all the pieces are in place as if they were using their holy books as a roadmap. If everything happened organically, then maybe I would have a different point of view.

    I've never seen a "Left Behind" movie before this one. Saw this was on Prime and decided to watch. This movie moves slowly and is low budget but it is probably the most relevant movie in 2023 in terms of everything that is going on today and where our lives and history are headed. Anyone who follows world news and events and knows even a little bit about Biblical prophecy will find a lot here to confirm, enlighten, and explain. I docked this a half a star for some fictionalized situations that take some liberties with the Biblical text (but they aren't out of the realm of possibility). But overall the movie's message is clear and I even learned a few things that I was not clear about. 4.5 stars overall.

    I only gave this 4 stars simply because it strayed well beyond the books telling of the story. Some aspects were intriguing such as Chloe digging up a grave for proof the rapture happened. Not sure who's grave it was as her mother was raptured while alive, I think it said mother to Irene which would be Chloe's grandmother.

    Other aspects were rushed or just flat out not in the first book. Such as Buck's broadcasting to the world that Carpathia was a liar and the anti-Christ at the end. That will throw off any future sequels if they were to do any as if you have read the books, you know full well that Buck had a good relationship with Carpathia for the first several books and that gives the Tribulation Force major advantages.

    Overall it was a good movie but it definitely took a lot of liberty with the actual book story. I will hope there will be sequels coming about to flesh the whole thing out even more.

    It's not part four like some would think it's actually an updated first and partly into the second movie of the original Left Behind Movies Trilogy the same that had Kirk Cameron playing Buck. Anyways the film is well done and even puts some more modern day terminology in there as well. It's worth the watch for true Left Behind books or movies fans. It's far better than the Hollywood remake that attempted to redo the movie the first one at least the low rated one with Nick Cage. The girl who played the daughter of the pilot in the Nick Cage version is back though reprising the same role only better. Anyways watch this film.
