i have had legacy amps for about 7 years now the first 2 were great but only 2400 watts each so figured i would upgrade to bigger amps/speakers, got the new products in installed them and nothing happened the amp didnt power up for more then a sec then never turned on again
it might have just been the 1 of a million defective amps but i was very disappointed changed my mind and went with the 4000 watt 4 channel instead and it works great

First off, I must start by saying I didn't know these were remanufactured/refurbished units as they are billed as "New"....

From day one, I noticed it was having power problems, just as other people here have stated. It would turn on only 50% of the time. It seemed completely random when it would turn on and when it would not. Sometimes, it helps if the car has been driving for 10 minutes or so...some times not.

I thought perhaps we had wired it incorrectly, even though that is not likely since this is not the first amplifier we have installed. So we completely re-did all the connectors and it started to get dark, so we came back the next day, starting from a fresh slate and with two different technicians (other than those two who had originally installed it) hooked it up, with the same results.

Bottom line is that this ("5,000") Watt amplifier is unable to power even a single 500 watt speaker at very LOW volume. It will immediately shut-off if you turn the volume to level 3. It won't EVEN make it to three. It just shuts-off completely, no overpower light or indication, no nothing. It hasn't even had a chance to heat-up yet, so that is not the cause of it. All the voltages at the Inputs are correct and all the fuses are good. Usually, it will power up again if you wait till the next day, but like I said, it is completely random, it's like it has a mind of it's own. So, basically, I am having the same problems that all the other people are having. One thing that I immediately noticed, even before we hooked anything up, is that the Terminal connections are tiny, tiny! like for a 50-Watt amplifier...I wondered how the Terminals could possibly provide enough power for an amplifier rated at 5,000 watts, but I decided to take their word for it.

There was no sound from the amp pushing the speakers and lots of distortion from the amp it also felt light for its big size and was not what I was looking for
