Editorial Reviews

"So many questions left over from Sociopath answered. I was just in awe, really...Lime Craven has such a way with words." -- Rachel, Bound By Books

"I absolutely LOVED this book, love the series, love Aeron & Leo, just love every-frigging-thing about this clever author and her amazing brainchild that is the Sociopath world!" --Holly, GoodReads reviewer

"It's depraved in places, gorgeous in others and it's a story that's going to stay with me for a long time.
--Klaire's Kollection

"We get a little of everything in this fine offering by Lime Craven. Romance, Thrills, Chills, Suspense... In the end, all I can say is that I personally loved the hell out of each and every page and I cried when I hit the last page because yeah, the last scene was that good..."
--Regina, GoodReads reviewer

"In some magical way she morphed those two from the deviant characters that added a high degree of kink and insanity in book one, into two people who have struggled their whole lives with lies, secrets, revenge and now love...the end result was purely astonishing." --TBird, Bare Naked Words

I personally have never forgiven Leo for shooting Aeron in book one. I know he forgave her, but it knocked her down a notch on my list and I had to work through my feelings towards her, especially when she doubts him about being the killer. You see, this story is about Blood Honey, a serial killer that everyone wants the story on. The FBI contact Aeron to get a copy of a footage that Leo's SilentWitn3ss took. It's clear to Leo that there are similarities between the killer and Aeron, but it's also clear it's not him and she has a hard time not believing he's either the killer or is involved. Aeron of course just wants the story and wants those he cares about safe. But then a story about Rachel is leaked and fingers start pointing his way. Deceptions take place. Identities are learned. Unforgettable things happen.

This story was again full of suspense, twists and mindf#@cks. I've missed Aeron and his deranged way of looking at life. He seemed a little more chill in this book and we were given chapters back in different times in his past which help explain some of his emotions. We also get past chapters about Leo. It works with the story as it progresses and we learn the identity of Blood Honey. Nasty piece of work that killer is. Ash and Ethan are in this story more and Ash and Leo do get to meet. Everything works together in typical mind blowing fashion and we get another enjoyable, dark read about these characters. The ending is perfect.

I loved Sociopath, the first book, something fierce. It was totally different than what I usually read. It was dark, but not dark in the traditional contemporary sense. It was taboo, twisty, a psychological mindf*ck. But more than anything, the writing was suburb.

This book was a little different than the first, but the writing was still so well done. Being inside Aeron's head was fascinating even if it was a little scary. I liked the flashbacks and also getting to know Leo a little better through her flashbacks and pov.

This book followed Aeron and Leo and pretty much took off where the first ended. It was less about them learning about each other and more about them coming to terms with what they learned (with a whole ton of crazy thrown in for good measure). Usually I love a lovey dovey HEA, but you won't find much lovey dovey here although in their own perverse way they are way beyond lovey dovey. There was an HEA of sorts but it fit perfectly with the story.

Honestly I'm sad to let these characters go. Aeron is not your normal hero and Leo isn't your normal heroine, but together they make this book series perfect. I can't wait for more from Lime Craven.

2.5 Stars

The first half of this book was a solid 4 stars. I did not want to put it down. The second half was 2 stars.
The writing was not bad. I am not a fan of flashbacks or dual POVs, but the author did a good job in regards to that.

I love dark and twisted. Aeron was the hero that I love to hate. The more dark, the better and I love when there are twists, but this did not work for me. It may work for you. I am not telling you not to read it.

Major spoilers below. I detail the ending. If you do not want to know what happens in the story, don't read the spoiler.

Here is your last warning.
I do not like when the hero talks about OW. Well that goes for the heroine as well. Aeron never talked in detail about sex with other women unlike Leo and her flashbacks. I already knew that Leo was with Rachel. I did not have to know "details". There was a flashback (chapter) that was about Leo, the heroine, and her ex-"lover", Rachel. That chapter was f/f. Rachel is also the woman that Aeron had sex with and destroyed when he was in high school. Leo and Rachel went to therapy together. Rachel for her issues after Aeron and Leo since she wanted revenge on Aeron. I first thought that Leo was only with Rachel to get information from her, but after that chapter with them together, I am not so sure. The last 10%, the reader finds out a lot. The serial killer who has been killing women is Aeron's biological father, Abel. Abel kidnaps Aeron and Leo. Abel rapes Leo. When Leo survives the abduction and rape then she finds out she is pregnant with Abel's baby. Leo wants to initially name the baby, Rachel. I did not get that at all. Rachel was Aeron and Leo's ex-lover!! Aeron did not even like Rachel!!

*This review may contain some general spoilers but they are all things I wish I would have known going in, and I couldn’t write an honest review without mentioning them.*

Legacy is the sequel to Sociopath. You’ll need to read that one first as the sequel continues the story of media mogul, Aeron Lore, his cutting penchant, and his twisted courtship of Leo Reeves. This time though Aeron is not the big bad crazy. That distinction goes to serial killer Blood Honey. Meanwhile, we learn more about the past as well as get more insight into Aeron and Leo’s current relationship, the epitome of love-hate in a romance if there ever was one. It truly captures a couple with love but distrust, distain but attraction. You’ll find plenty of “love-hate” banter among sparring couples in romance, but this is something totally different. It’s dark and potentially deadly, yet the narrative always keeps it light…in the first half or more. (Man I wish I didn’t have to make that distinction).

Aeron is a captivating narrator. He’s not someone you’d want to know in real life (that could be dangerous…or dicey) but he’s witty and intelligent as he, along with Leo this time, narrates their tale. Thought-provoking definitions start off each chapter once again. In the first book and most of this one, The author does a superb job taking readers into the world of a functioning sociopath. It’s not the crazy most people assume. Instead it’s a world of cunning, manipulative, and resourceful ways that invites danger. She is very talented with her writing style.

But then the book takes a turning point. It honestly felt like someone else took over writing.
