This was the first book I have read by Ms. Stone and I was enthralled from the beginning. I don't usually read books that have sci-fi/fantasy elements in them,, but I am so glad I received this book fred, in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Logan and Sabine have known each other for 30 years and Sabine knew that she loved him when she was seven and he was fifteen. A party that is supposed to be fun, never happens and Logan and Sabine stumble upon a gruesome scene. He is shocked and she has to save him (you have to read it to see how she saved him). After that night, Logan doesn't see Sabine again for ten trade-off not for lack of trying. When they see each other again, their feelings for one another come out, although not with words, and when he wakes up, she is gone.
He tries to find her, to no avail, but the reasoning behind her disappearance will shock you. The culmination of this book was great and I can't wait to read more on this series.
Craving book review:
I don't normally read paranormal romance books, but after I read Longing I was hooked on this series. Craving is a great second book in the series. John Luke is a very stoic man, but when he is informed that, along with the rest of his siblings, he is a shifter, he starts practicing. He already has one divorce under his belt, a child he doesn't see often enough, and he was content in his life. When he moves back home to work on the family ranch, he meets Dr. Ily and he is drawn to her right away. He can't understand why he is so possessive of her or why he can't seem to stay away from her, basically right after meeting her.
Dr. Ily is great at what she does, but has no memory of who she actually is. She has weird occurrences that she doesn't know how to explain. When she meets John Luke, she is also drawn to him and can't seem to stay away. When she comes across a wolf attacking some bunnies, what she finds when she shoots him with a tranquilizer is both intriguing and scary. She starts questioning a lot about herself.
In what is probably the craziest first date, Ily learns the truth about who she is and what she does. She also learns about John Luke and his family. She is unsure of her future, but knows that she doesn't want things with John Luke to end. John Luke also realizes how much Ily has come to mean to him in such a short time and even though he doesn't understand it completely, he doesn't want it to end either.
As they get to know each other, their relationship grows, but when the Dark Fae try to come between them, they have to decide how to proceed where they all can be happy. Unfortunately, Beau, John Luke's brother, isn't as receptive to his shifting nature and when the Dark Fae try to use him to get to Ily, everything goes from bad to worse and John Luke is heartbroken. Is there any way that John Luke can move past the heart break of what occurs? Is what he saw and experienced reality? Pick up Craving today to find out how and if John Luke and Ily get their happily ever after or if John Luke and Ily are doomed to be separated for life?
I can't wait for the next book in the series, which follows Beau's story. I received and ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Yearning book review:
I loved the story of Beau and Grace. High school sweethearts who went their separate ways, but never stopped loving one another. Beau, even though he knows it to be true, fights against his shifter nature. He has always loved Grace, and glass vowed to never let her get away again, if he gets her back.
Grace, after finding out that her husband had been cheating with her best friend, moves back to her hometown. When she sees Beau again good the first time in a decade, she is shocked by the realization that as he has never stopped loving him.
They agree to take it slow- she has kids after all- and they have a lot to work through. When his secret comes out, will she be able to deal or will she walk away? When her mom and kids get taken, can she save therm in time? What will happen when a family secret is revealed to Grace? The end of the book brought tears to my eyes.
Longing is Ciana Stone’s first book in her Legacy Series. I have had the chance to read her books in the past and have been a fan of hers. I will be honest I was on the fence if I would like this book as I don’t care for the paranormal genre. However, there were parts of the book I really did like. In the end I was glad I read the book.
I thought the dedication of this book was cute. “To the one man of my dreams, my honeyman.”
Logan and Sabine are my two favorite characters in this book. I loved Logan’s flashback of 30 years ago of Sabine. How powerful his vision was in his mind. Not to mention the reunion of Logan and Sabine that was the most taboo scenes in the book. It was smoking hot!!
Yearning is book three in Ciana Stones Legacy Series. This book would be best to read in order as it is not considered a standalone. In true Ciana fashion she does add some pretty nice sexual scenes in the book. However, there is a good plot line as well. Even something for those who like to read paranormal.
I loved how Ciana jumped right into the drama of the story on page one! Wow! It was something from a primetime drama I would watch on TV! Later in the story did I find out how much I disliked Tad and Amy!! I was furious with them and was on Grace’s side!!
Beau was my ultimate favorite character in this whole book. He had a heart of gold and well he was good looking too! My heart melted when he went to Theo’s school to help him with a bully! He was amazing with him and put that bully in his place! The kids adored him which melted Grace’s heart.
My heart went out to Sheri Grace and Tads daughter. She is young and didn’t understand what was going on. She was up rooted from the only life that she knew and whisked away to live with her grandmother. It was hard for her. However, as time went on it became easier.
Lots of ups and downs in this book! That is for sure! But over all a great read. I was not a fan of the paranormal part of the book. However, I know many people like that genre.
