But you know what they say about best-laid plans. She didn't plan on the unprofessional behavior and animosity of the company's long-time secretary, who cluelessly paves the way for the con man to slink back into Emily's life. Even worse, Russell aims to use their adorable son as a bargaining chip to coerce Emily into helping him pull off his latest caper.
Something else she didn't plan on... she never intended to fall in love with Joe Tanner, the complany president, or for him to fall in love with her. Now the question is, can he and his brothers rescue Emily and her son before it's too late? Dare she hope for a happy ending?
This is an enjoyable story, with likable characters, and snippets of delightful descriptions. There's some mystery, a few thrills, romance, and even a couple chuckles thrown in for good measure. A regular smorgasbord. Dig in!
Nice to see Canadian scenery and locale in this book, which had a mildly autobiographical touch. It made it more enjoyable.
