I had this book on my wishlist and to be read list for a long time, and when I won a voucher from the author on a chicklit blog, I was ecstatic. Of course it took me a long time to actually get around to reading it, but once I got started, I didn't want to stop. I even delayed dinner by at least 90 minutes to make sure I finished the book before going to eat.

Now if you're looking for a serious book or one which gets every single technical nuance correct, then skip over this one. If you're looking for something flirty, fun, hot, and a wonderful escape, then this book is definitely for you. Having said that, I really enjoyed the book, if you can't already tell. I think the chemistry between Mia and Max was off the charts and I loved them. I think this is a wonderful debut book. I hope to own a copy of this in paperback and can't wait to see what the author's next work is.

Well, I liked the premise of the story, liked the characters, even liked the storyline. It was an enjoyable read on average, and I wanted to like it more, except I found myself skimming often once I passed around the 25% mark. My main problem was the author "telling not showing." I don't want to hear about their interactions, I want to read them and have feelings and perceptions about them myself. I don't want to hear about what they talked about and did, I want to read their dialogue and actions alongside it. When these moments happened, I liked them; unfortunately there just weren't enough of them. I genuinely liked the two MCs (and even the secondary characters) but my connection with their story was stifled by the fact that I was being told about things instead of seeing/reading them for myself. Yes, there was dialogue, but it just felt too sparse. I also felt like the author should have included their wedding vows, since it seemed at the moment to be a really important part of their interaction (an example of telling us about it but not actually showing it).

I also felt bogged down by too many descriptions of their daily dry life dealings or descriptions. This is where my skimming came into play. But perhaps these scenes wouldn't have felt monotonous or dry had it not been for the sparse dialogue (which improved only toward the end). Now with the improved dialogue toward the end, I was finally enjoying more of their conversations, but then the story ended. I could have used an epilogue, not because the ending was necessarily bad. I liked how things ended. I would have liked an epilogue just to make up for the lack earlier in the book, because I was finally feeling like the "showing" of the story was coming together. But the story itself had a lot of potential, so with a little work and editing, I can see the author's future books being better and more enjoyable.

I downloaded this book for free, which meant that I ran the usual risk that comes with a free book: you get what you pay for. This book, however, was just delightful. The characters felt like real people, instead of plastic figures being forced into some romantic formula. I was charmed and thoroughly enjoyed reading. As an added bonus, the book didn't have any of the grammar and typographical errors that too often litter Kindle freebies.

This is what I call a gentle book. It was an easy read that I simply could not put down and stayed up half the night to finish. I have been reading some pretty heavy books lately and this was a marvelous change. Some word descriptions of this book from my perspective: Sweet, Loving, Romantic, Altruistic, Passionate, Family, Caring. I just loved it, what else can I say?

I read 300+ books a year and I very seldom, if ever, reread one, but this will be one of the three or four I will reread during next summer's respite.

Legally Wed was very well written and it held my attention throughout. I highly recommend this book.

This book was one of the free ones that I got and I am REALLY, REALLY glad that I did. I am finding that most free books are not books, but short stories. This one was a book. It was well written, entertaining and fun. I enjoyed the whole thing. I found it difficult to put down when I had to. The storyline is common to romance novels, but so what. The "had to get married" theme is used often and I love to see how the author handles the scenes and situations that occur. The whole family interactions were great additions and fun to read about. I wish it had lasted longer and we could see what happened after the last sentence in the book. An epilogue would have been perfect!!

One other thing that I really enjoyed is that the "sex" scenes were well done. They were sensual, but not trashy. There was just enough description to let us enjoy but not enough that it became offensive.

Thank you Clara for a great book!!! I really enjoyed reading it.

When I first got the book, my assumption was that, it will be another of those 'Cinderella' like stories. However, as I got into the book it got me engrossed at how different it was from the rest.

Mia is already a self-made woman with career. Although not that wealthy, she has already established her possessions and she did it on her own. She actually is so into her job and house that she forgot she needed a man in her life. Almost.

Max is an American working in Europe and badly needs a fast and easy way to renew his working visa. This happened in the middle of financial crisis worldwide which made the scenario believable and forgiveable. One could just shrug it off as part of the plot and accepts it. Then came Mia to the rescue.

Their marriage although arranged did not feel like it from the start. The characters did not make it feel so fake and fell into their parts consistently. As opposed to real marriage, Max and Mia have accomplished living together with less difficulties. In fact they seemed to enjoy each other from the start.

The author has successfully established everything within the story. It's refreshing to not have too much drama on the relationship of the two characters. It was even good of Mia to have her feelings on check all the time they were together. Two points I wished the author has changed though was that, the story became too predictable towards the end when Mia got pregnant. I could even guess that without the visit to the doctor. But I must admit there probably is no other way to build that part. Second, it seemed the author went in to rush to end the story.

The best arranged marriage story I have read so far. Highly recommended!
