I'm sure this was going to be a dream pan to cook my steak I bought the day I got it ,but upon opening the box I heard a rattle, hmm I didn't think I had to attach a handle. So here we are. I'm still going to cook the steak but not as planned. I'll wait a few more days for the replacement.

I bought this to mainly use at home but we took this pan on a camping trip because we couldn't find our other one. However, figured might as well test this on our camping trip. Not only did it work great on an open fire but we were able to practically cook all of our meals on this pan. This did come pre-seasoned and ready to use. The lid we mainly use at home but has been really helpful when it comes to really cooking or frying anything. Not only does it help keep the heat inside but it prevents oil and grease from popping out. The silicone gripper helps protect from the heat but when used on an open flame, I didn't use it. No matter what we cook or fry on this pan, it not only doesn't stick but we get an even cooking meal. This pan can definitely get hot so that silicone cover does help. However, when it came to our camping trip I just used my silicone glove that I use for barbecuing. What I was really impressed with is that I was able to cook eggs on this pan and not have the eggs stick, which is what our old one does. Easy to wipe clean and be ready to use again. More recently, we used this to bake cornbread in and not only did it come out delicious be we were able to cut and keep in the pan while eating. Nothing stuck to the bottom either. When it comes to cleaning this and re-seasoning it, we just do what we always have done and it's ready to use again. Stores easily away and love that we can use this at home and for camping.
