Anyone who rode public transportation in DC in the 1980s and 1990’s (and maybe up to 2010) was most likely familiar with “Cool Disco Dan’s iconic tag. I rode the Red LIne from Silver Spring to downtown, and you could not travel more that 100 ft without seeing his tag. So when I saw this film was out there, I had to see who this guy was. Anyway, an amazing story of a very driven and regular guy, in a manner of speaking. But he wanted to be famous and he will be remembered by the people who saw his graffiti.
Also a great film of the action in DC when it was known by two monikers. “Chocolate City” and “Murder Capital of the US”. Anyway, recommed this film to people from DC who remember that time and place.
