This film is much different than the other IMAX documentaries available. It is more of a docu-drama. The story is interesting and the acting is very good. The scenes of Scottland are breathtaking. If you are looking for a IMAX film that dares to be different...this is DVD for you. Take the high road and purchase The Legend of Loch Lomond.

I really enjoyed this short movie and think it could have made an interesting full length movie. The story of the song about Loch Lomond really comes to light in a new way after watching the movie. Very nicely done and gorgeous scenery. Definitely worth the watch, especially if you love stories that have a blend of historical Scotland and love story legends.

I loved this short movie. There was only one thing I found strange: The band members of Shindig--from London--all had Scottish accents. I'd have liked to have seen the tale made into a full length feature, but for what it was, it's most definitely worth purchasing.

Watched it, purchased it and love it. One of the greatest love stories. Would like to see this crew create a collection of folklore/legend short movies. AWESOME! OUTSTANDING! The song is so captivating.

Cheesy and overly dramatic....reminded me of a Harlequin short story. Simple bit of fluff if you're looking for a 40 minute distraction. I've always liked the song though and found the "low road" is a reference to the Celtic belief that if someone died away from his homeland, the fairies would provide a route for his soul to return home.

I've never known the story behind the song, so it was interesting to watch. And the scenery was breathtaking! (I've always dreamed about going to Scotland.) It's too bad that more time and energy wasn't put into the movie, if you could even call it a movie at 38 minutes long. Still, it held my interest and I actually enjoyed it. I believe that a three star rating is more than fair!

Short, sweet and everything in between. I love this movie so much and I wish I had seen it at I max when it came out on the big screen. If you haven't seen it, watch it. If you don't you're really missing out

This is a very sweet film if a bit abrupt in its ending. I had never known the legend behind the song "Loch Lomond", and enjoyed adding this bit of history to my knowledge of the Scottish Highlands. To tie it all up there is the most amazing music!
