I love this beautiful guide. This guide had beautiful pictures and it shows how to find the power ups, the pieces of heart, and weapons, it had the maps of dungeons and Hyrule, how to beat mini-games, It shows where to go next, and how to beat the bosses. If you have any problems, you can buy this guide and I promise that this guide is very helpful.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - Collectors Edition Game Guide

Hard on the heels of the releases of Nintendo's latest game in the Zelda franchise - "A Link Between Worlds" - Prima Publishers has issued a companion game guide in a collectors edition.

For this amateur gamer I find these Prima guides indispensable. The guide is an encyclopedia of walk through helps, location of hidden items and hint for solving puzzles and defeating various evils doers. Numerous world maps in the back of the book are keyed with locations of places to visit, to avoid, and treasure locations and temples.

You certainly don't need a guidebook to play this game. Some folks feel a guide detracts from the challenge of solving the various riddles and defeating the bosses. I find having the guide very helpful when I reach a dead end, but that's one person's opinion.

The collector's edition is a large hardbound book measuring 8.5 inches by 11, gilt edged and 320 pages long. The cover boards are light green with a stylized gold border with a Zelda/Triforce design imprinted on the front cover. To my knowledge this is the fifth Zelda Collectors Edition published by Prima - the only difference is the other editions is the color of the hardbound boards.

Highly recommend as an attractive Legend of Zelda collectable and a useful companion to a challenging game.

I give this Prima guide a hearty recommendation. The hardcover / gold edged version I ordered is gorgeous. The guide basically runs down the main game and all of the extra side quests. There is a complete list of heart pieces and the little octopus things (forget their name) which are needed for item upgrading. I didn't get into too much detail regarding the locations of the extras since I am playing through without the guide. I mainly bought it as a nice collector's edition book to accompany my game, as well as offer a bit of assistance on my later plays through if I am trying to get 100% of all extras.

There are several maps showing both worlds and the location of many treasures and other extras.

On the whole, this is a much better effort than the Skyward Sword guide. Maps are great, and the item lists and locations were very valuable time savers. There are two major errors in the guide to be aware of;

1. It tells you that Ravio's item rental shop is opened right after you get the Power Glove, but you also need to get the Zora Flippers first before it opens.
2. More importantly, for the final battle of the game, it tells you to shoot arrows behind you all the way around the wall from the start, but this only works on the THIRD time; before that, you have to shoot normally, un-merge with the wall and then merge BEHIND the boss to shoot him. I had to use a free online guide to figure that out because the book was wrong; disappointing, and at a crucial time.

Other than that, this is a great guide, and was invaluable for collecting all the items. It's worth that cost alone. Just be aware of those few errors and you'll be fine.

received my copy today and was impressed except for one thing. The faux leather spine apparently tears unbelievably easy. I received my copy with a puncture and tear in the book. I give amazon 5 stars for sending another out hassle free but prima games gets 2 stars for terrible production.

Awesome! Bought it for my collection and for the artwork. Also got the Game Guide Box Set. I just opened the book and it is just beautiful. Link to The Past is my favorite Zelda game and I was SUPER excited when I found out about A Link Between Worlds. I was even MORE excited when I saw I got a framed lithograph with the book! Excellent quality for such a great price. The foiled crest on the frame is a beautiful touch especially since that kind of design is pretty fancy and can be expensive. LOVE!

“The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Collector's Edition” is recommended game guide for the latest Zelda game on Nintendo system.

Given that in terms of its quality I must rely on the opinion of the younger members of my family it is a good handbook full of useful information, walkthroughs, hidden items location and how-to advices associated with beating tough bosses, solving difficult puzzles and finding rare items.

The guide comes equipped with detailed maps of world through which the players roam showing locations for every dungeon, big treasure and other important places that should be visited or in some occasions avoided.

Among hardcore gamers always the same question is raised whether the existence of such manuals is justified because they make games less challenging and exciting to pass.

Therefore, my recommendations for this one would go primarily to younger players or those who don’t have enough free time and still want to take all the game can provide to them, because for those gamers this guide will be of great help.

If together with the above-said I mention that the book visually looks beautiful coming with framed lithograph and cover boards in nice green shade with a gold border I believe it could be a great gift for the upcoming holidays…
