However, the book and map are alot smaller than I imagined. Look at photos below.

First, about myself. I’ve been a “Nintendo fan boy,” since playing Pokémon Crystal In 2001. The Nintendo universe is the only video game world I live in. From Pokemon to Mario, I love it. The strange thing is I’ve never played a Zelda game before. I’ve always focused on the tittles I’ve played before.
So how was my expierence? Coming from Pokémon and Mario, I was a bit skeptical at first. Different mechanics, etc. I can safely say now, though, that Zelda is/was amazing. I feel immersed and captivated by Breath’s endless landscapes and spawning monsters. There’s always something to do: find dungeons, slay monsters, explore the landscapes, find items, you name it the list goes on.
As an artist, the game truly immerses one into a magical field. Similar to a Miyazaki film (think Princess Monoke), ZBTW draws parallels to traditional Japanese lore. But Still new and exciting, Zelda takes the best of tradition in both the world of video games and Japanese lore and art while incorporating and refining new and old features.

The game itself is beautiful, dense and simply tons of fun; after 120 hours I still haven't finished the main quest because I always end up going for one more shrine, one more side quest, just another memory, and so on.
By far, my GotY for 2017, a most have for any Zelda lover or Switch owner.
And finally, about this special edition; the art book that comes with it, is kinda small, but with just shy of 100 pages worth of content. It goes from sketches and some early concept art, to beautiful shots of the final design; it has some descriptions on the main quest, controls, the characters, and the background story; thankfully there are no spoilers and the guide includes some nice tips to complete your quest, things that you didn't know you could do in the game and a nice map of Hyrule for you to get started.
Note that info on the starter guide will have value for collectors only, as info on it has been floating around the internet since the game came out; and the map, although beautiful, only shows major areas or towns in the game; as you progress on your adventure, you'll easily have a better more complete map of Hyrule available in game.
Although the story of the game has been criticized for being very bare, I found that the implementation of cutscenes by searching for memories across the vast world is more engaging, and made me actually want to search for what happened to hyrule, zelda, and the champions. In past zelda games (skyward sword, ocarina of time, etc.) the storyline progressed very linearly. The downside to this new non-linear type of storytelling is that much of the story and many cutscenes are vague so that you can perform important tasks in any order without spoiling other areas.
As for this particular edition, the book included with the game was very helpful in getting started in such a large scale and open world game, and surprisingly, was a very useful reference. One example I can give is how I accidentally skipped through a controls tutorial in-game on how to perform shield surfing. After looking through the book, I was able to figure out the controls, and learn about a few areas where the feature would be useful. The map that was included is rather small, but makes for a neat collectible as well. Overall, this game perfectly embodies nintendo stepping into modern gaming, and hits all the checkboxes I've ever wanted in a zelda game.

Low star rating due to this. I would recomment getting the standard version of the game. TLOZ BOTW in itself is a masterpiece!
1) The game itself seems to be working and the wrapping around the cartridge container was untouched.
2) The included map seems to be untouched.
Cons:
1) The box itself looks like someone sat on it, with numerous creases and bends especially at the top part of the box.
2) Presumably due to the damage to the box, the booklet that came with the box had some damage to it as well.
Given that I had to pay for this product at CAD$250.99, I'd at least expect the whole thing to be in top condition. Had I known that parts of the product would be damaged, I would have just bought a "used but looks like new" copy instead of a "new" copy.
