Product description
Set out for adventure once again in this unique new game in the beloved The Legend of Zelda franchise, built exclusively for the Wii U platform.
The newest game in The Legend of Zelda franchise, scheduled for 2015, introduces the first truly open world in a game from the series. Players can roam Hyrule Field or set off on a trek to distant mountains if they prefer. Players can get to any area they can see from virtually any direction. That's one of the ways the game breaks with franchise norms and introduces new ways to play.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I liked almost everything about this game if you get the ar cards it adds even more content my couple of complaint by my count the wiiu is ps4/xbox1 match it would have been nice to have voice acting instead of subtitles though most of the game I also found the equipment breakage frustrating especially since You wanna save your elemental equipment for certain parts of traveling i still not very far in so thats my thoughts so far
3.0 out of 5 starsAnnoyingly frustrating to begin with but got better towards the end.

I picked this game up at the beginning of lockdown and have played most of the large Zelda titles on other consoles. The game opens up well but becomes incredibly frustrating if you choose the wrong direction to travel after the 4th temple.
It is a vast open game but to access certain areas you need to have more abilities. It took over 60 hours to complete and would have been quicker had I chosen a path slightly to the left of the one I ended up taking as you can go and explore areas without many abilities but come across monsters that you won't be able to beat early on normally perishing in the process. It is too easy to die early on and I nearly stopped playing the game as I didn't have the health / weapons to make much progress especially the first divine beast. After about 20 hours of play, you end up with better weapons and more health/stamina so the game becomes more bearable but being too open meant that I then ended up back-tracking to places I'd already been to to pick up more orbs / weapons. The ending was quite good and I'm glad I played to the end but if I started the game again, I'd take a different path early on as some temples on some routes are far easier than others.
5.0 out of 5 starsDo you like Zelda games? Do you like immersive games in general? You need this game!

I remember playing Zelda games right back to the SNES in the (early) 90's....
This game, Breath Of The Wild (Wii-U) has to be one of the best, if not THE best, Zelda game I've every played.
Open environment, loads of kit, things to find, puzzles to solve, creatures to battle, missions and side-missions to accomplish along the way, the world is literally your oyster. You can chose where to head for, what missions you choose to do, what people you want to see and interact with, what places to visit, or just wander about finding and gathering items in the wild open expanse of this open arena game (weapons, clothing, shields, food and other stuff). It is massive!
Very immersive and utterly engaging in all aspects. I bought it for my 9 year old son and find I'm playing it as much! I've not shouted words of "encouragement" like this since I was basically his age! We sometimes work together to solve some of the puzzles and are gaining from one another ideas to try ourselves when it's our turn to login.
Great to have a few Amiibos too, as when you unlock the ability to use them they drop all sorts of useful stuff!
Really very very impressed with this one, a gaming triumph in my years of experience.
5.0 out of 5 starsbut I think it is the most beautiful looking games I've ever played (Wii U version)

I was a bit worried about the Zelda series - I wasn't able to get past the opening stages of Skyward Sword because it all felt too formulaic and stagnant - and I thought that might be my last attempt at playing a full 3D Zelda. Luckily 'A Link Between Worlds' on the 3DS helped correct some of those issues, and so I decided to give Breath of the Wild a chance - and a chance was all it needed. From the very first moments I was hooked - I've never experienced a game with such an incredible sense of freedom and scope. For a game that is straddling across two platforms, there was a fear that technically it might fall short, but I think it is the most beautiful looking games I've ever played (Wii U version). It is jaw-dropping.
I finished the game yesterday morning - as in I defeated the final boss - after over 100 hours of play. But continued to play well into last night finding new quests, shrines, and items that I hadn't discovered yet. This game has LEGS. Possibly the best £50-odd you will spend this year.
For all those yet to buy; I'm incredibly jealous - just pull the trigger and thank me later.

I was waiting 2 years + for that game and when it came out and I saw the previous I was "hum I don't like the art style" the story seems "so so from what I can tell", but despite of that I could not ignore it and have to try the game.
During the 5 first hours I thought I made a terrible mistake and my first intuition was right. As I get into the game I thought that I can overlook the art style which is still not my cup of tea. And play a very interesting game. For those people who want a typical Zelda game where you have 7 dungeons, get the treasure in this dungeon which will help you to overcome the next dungeon. Forget about, the main thing about that game is exploration. You do a lot of exploration in this game.
In fact the world itself is the dungeon and it's very beautiful (even with the art style which is not really my cup of tea). The game is fact from perfect. The main quest is very short, but there are plenty of side quests. The story could have been better and have more events.
