It's a lot of fun, it has a fun zelda twist to it. If you have people playing that have never played Zelda before it's totally fine, they'll be able to keep up.

The only thing that bugged me about this game was that they (the company/ the product maker) assume you've played clue before. They explain the new additions to the game, but not the whole game. If you own a regular clue take out your rules or looked them up on your phone. There's also not an assigned position for the characters (like in regular clue) so we just placed them in a room close to their origin...

I LOVE Zelda. I love playing Clue. I wanted this to be a 5 star rating, but some of the components are junk. 3.5 stars.

Pros:
The box is fairly sturdy
The cover art is nice (it's mostly black, of course I love it)
The sides of the box bottom have printed art as well, nice
The game board is beautiful, the entries to each location is clearly marked without being distracting, very nice
The weapons tokens are amazing. Metal with great details.
In addition to the standard who, what, where cards, this game spices things up by giving each character a unique ability that can be used once per game, a special die that has a ? on one side that if rolled ( or if you land on a ? space on the board) you draw a Boss Encounter card. Most give you something good, but the Ganodorf cards give you nothing, unless you draw the last (8th) one then you're out of the game.
The instruction book is well done, it's attractive, clear and concise. The yellow envelope and clue sheets are thematic and nice looking.

Cons:
Only one resealable bag, for the mover tokens
The insert is a bit strange. It looks like it was made for a different game and it's a thinner, cheaper quality than I like.
The mover tokens are tacky. It is easy for everyone to see your color but the little acrylic stands are not pretty or durable. Mine had minor scuff/scratch marks and the game was new.
The worst is the terrible, thin, delicate cardstock the characters are printed on. The average notecard is thicker! There is no "punch out gently" there's just get an exacto knife or have ripped paper. You then have to fold them in half and insert them into the stands. One of mine isn't lined up right and looks odd. None of them fit all the way into the stands, so they stick out a little bit. This horrible cardstock is also what they used for all the cards!! Use card protectors or after one play your cards will be marked up/damaged allowing people to know what cards you have. Huge disappointment.
Considering the price is currently around 3x what a standard Clue game cost, this should have been deluxe quality. Not to mention anyone who buys this game is likely a huge Zelda fan and expects this game to be very nice quality as well as thematic. Otherwise we would just play regular Clue.

Received game to give as a gift for my granddaughter. When she opens the sealed box, the game contained no cards or moving pieces to play the game. It was totally useless. My granddaughter was very disappointed and I was very upset. I contacted the game maker and all they sent me were the cards.

I bought this for my daughter because Zelda is her favorite video game and Clue is her favorite board game. It was a novel birthday gift I thought she would like....I was wrong: she LOVES and adores this game!! They not only implemented the Zelda characters, locations, and weaponry to the original game beautifully, but they also added elements to the gameplay that make it even more fun and interesting to play. We have already played this several times in the month since she opened it, from adult down to our six-year-old niece (who actually beat the other three of us who were playing!). Even those who never played Zelda enjoyed this game. It was a great purchase and I am glad I got it.
