Product Description

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy takes the fun and endless customization of LEGO and combines it with the epic story, characters and action from the original Star Wars movies that revolutionized pop culture forever (Episode IV A New Hope, Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI Return of the Jedi). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the Original Trilogy, LEGO Star Wars II follows the Rebel Alliance’s crusade to dismantle the Galactic Empire and rebuild a galaxy in pieces. Build and battle your way through your favorite film moments, from Darth Vader’s pursuit of Princess Leia aboard her Blockade Runner to a showdown on the second Death Star, as the game includes even more of the family-friendly LEGO action, puzzles and humor that earned the original LEGO Star Wars such popularity and acclaim.

My son and I are huge LEGO and Star Wars fans! We originally borrowed this game from our local library and found the game play to be a ton of fun. While it requires a considerable time investment (about 20 - 30 minutes per level, plus there's regular and free play for each level), we've almost completed every challenge/level in this game.

We've also started to play the LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga game and we're finding that it is even better -- you get all of the levels/challenges in this game plus more. If you're looking for an inexpensive LEGO/PC game, then go with this. Otherwise, splurge on the Complete Saga version.

This is a great game for kids. I have a 4 years old son and he loves. I like that fact that when charters get shot, it's only the Lego pieces that fall apart. There are some humorous situations like Storm Troopers in the hot tub. The game is well made. The game is fun for both dad and son. I try to limit the playing time to 30 minutes. Of course my son want play more but I use it as a motivational tool to get him to do his chores.

The game is a bit too hard for a seven-year old to understand, which is who it was purchased for.

My 4yr old son recieved this for X-Mas and absolutely loves it!! We had no problem installing the game and it runs with no problems. My only complaint, like other reviewers have said, is that the game doesn't save exactly where you left off. It saves at the beginning of the chapter you were at. So if you quit midway through the chapter, you have to start at the beginning of it the next time. We also leave the PC on all the time so my son doesn't lose his place.

One of the best features for us is the two player ability. When my son is having some trouble my husband or myself can pop into the game and play another character right along side our son and then pop out when we are done. Then my son continues to play on. The two player mode is set up so one person plays the number pad and the other with the letters, so you are using the same keyboard. Very user friendly. Fun for both kids and adults and some humor for the adults Star Wars fans.

Windows 7 updated hardware as of 2016, frequent game crashes. Searched everywhere, tried everything, patched to 1.02, updated drivers, ran as administrator, changed resolution, turned off display options, etc.

While it is working it is wonderful. I would give 5 stars but after 15+ crashes per hour, shelving it. Unplayable and not worth a new keyboard when I rage.

The game itself is fun and very well made, however, I've just taken it away from my son because he is not able to save the game until he reaches the next level. For my son, it takes sometimes more than couple of hours to reach the next level. I only give him 20 min to play so I permanently taken it away from him.

I have never played this game. So how can I give it 5 stars??? Because among the myriad of computer games in our household, this is the game my kids repeatedly want to play. As far as my kids are concerned, the graphics are awesome, despite a few bugs. For instance, the Chewbaca character never has a head, and yet has two eyes floating in space. More funny than annoying. The game does seem to be a bit of a resource hog and it demands certain video hardware, and it will not install on our older computer. Bottom line...if kids play it...and they have many others to chose from...it must be good.
