This brilliantly conceived alliance blends the unique world and designs of LEGO play materials with the unforgettable characters, stories, and vehicles of the prequel eras of the Star Wars universe.

Play the most memorable and exhilarating scenes from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and the forthcoming Episode III Revenge of the Sith, including pod racing on Mos Espa, the repelling of the droid onslaught in the Genosian arena, and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon’s fatal fight with Darth Maul. Besides controlling the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, and R2-D2, notorious dark-side enemies such as Jango Fett, Darth Maul, and Count Dooku appear in thrilling showdowns. As you progress through the game you unlock many new characters including those from the Dark Side, and you must switch between them to solve puzzles using their special abilities.

In addition to a single-player mode, there is a "drop in, drop out" two-player co-operative mode allowing a second player to enter or leave the action whenever they want. There is also a free-play mode where unlocked characters can be played in different scenarios to those of the films. This adds immeasurably to the game’s re-playability and there are further incentives to complete the game for budding Jedi Knights in the form of hidden levels and vehicles.

I admit it: The Phantom Menace did nothing for me. But THIS -- well, let's just say it misses nothing, and adds some much-needed humor. Frankly, playing this game w/ my son is far more fun than watching Lucas' CGI extravaganzas.

The strengths: while a bit more challenging than its sequel [Lego Star Wars II], it still has the essential feature of realizing it won't be bought by die-hard gamers, so you can die any number of times & still not have to start over; you just won't score much. That being said, there are plenty of challenges -- the pod racer being notable -- which the beginning gamer may take a few tries to get through. To that end, the humor becomes not just welcome but possibly even essential -- something I hope the new Star Wars films will remember to include :)

The package I received was timely and very good quality as advertised. I would purchase other pre-owned products from this company in the future. I will not believe answers from supposed purchasers that claim an Xbox game can also run on Xbox 360. It simply doesn't.

My five-year-old grandson (and I) love this game. It is easy enough for young children and old farts like me to learn the ins and outs of Xbox gamesmanship while containing ample challenges to keep interest alive in discovering hidden secrets. The Lego characters and plots are very consistent with the original Star Wars movies, and there are moments of subtle humor built into the "story" sequences that are fun to watch. The game contains some violence in that good guys and bad guys engage in laser shoot-outs and light saber battles. So, if this turns you off, don't buy it. Otherwise, I consider this game great fun and an enjoyable way to spend time with a smart child.

I thought I ordered an XBox 360 version of the original Lego Star Wars. I didn't look closely enough at the picture to see it says simply "XBOX". While I could play the game on my XBox 360, I could not save any of my progress. This is not the fault of the shipper, I received what I ordered and 10 days before it was scheduled to arrive. I wish the information on the Amazon site was more specific about this being an original XBOX game.

Very fun game, kid friendly. Advanced players may find it too easy but if you don't often play video games and just want a fun distraction you can pick up and play immediately, this is for you. It covers all the movies, which is great. There are hidden things for replay and each level has a puzzle element to it that makes it fun to play. This is a must own for Star Wars fans, especially if you have kids.
