I worked with him in every stage of the booklet to make sure he got each stage correct before moving to next one. Probably too difficult on his own. To me, an adult who played a lit of Lego as a kid, I found it medium difficulty as only one to a few items added per stage. As a comparison, i then bought on eBay a vintage Lego Techinics car (steering, suspension, 4 cylinder engine) and found this WAY more difficult - lots going on, per stage. I had this car when I was a kid. Still had most of the bits but no instructions. With bought instructions, I should have enough if my own vintage Lego my Dad kept for in case I had kids, to make the other vintage Lego car.
The modern one though is v robust and this particular model was VERY well priced for what you get.
Also delighted to get it for £52.
