The image is clear from edge to edge. No outer distortion. Focusing is easy. The focus ring is a little stiff at first, but after some use it loosens up. It is compact.
The case is nice, but to bulky to fit in a pocket. There is no front objective lens cover, but that is easily corrected. You can go to a sporting goods store and get a rifle scope boot cover. This allows you to leave the carrying case in the car and carry the monocular
in your pocket with both lenses covered.
I use it mainly for bird watching. Sometimes I get to see deer or other small critters.
A great item. It will last. I take it everywhere.
This little gem doesn't disappoint! Easy focus, clear image, and decent field of view considering it's compact size. Build quality seems substantial. I don't understand the wrist strap - who carries a monocular on their wrist?? A neck strap would be more useful and for the price should be included. The case it comes with is of high quality.
If you can afford it and the form factor suits your needs - go for it!!
So you get an excellent monocular for distant viewing like sporting events, bird watching, etc and a super magnifying lens to pick out the smallest detail on anything.
