This would have been a useful addition but does not fit snugly at the grip area. It leaves a gap that can collect dust or surprise rain. Also, it leaves an unstable feeling. It is a grip; it should be solidly attached at the grip area. I tried 2 to be sure and returned each.

Additionally, once cannot use this with a leather case. It's one or the other. I opted instead for a case with a grip "bump" and now have grip plus protection.

Five stars for aesthetic, four stars for being overpriced (but hey, you bought a Leica, so you knew that), three for not having a cutout on the bottom. Average of 4 stars.

The grip fits the camera very well, looks nice and consistent in design with the camera, definitely adds a significant amount of grip without being too big or bulky. Doesn't add much weight. Seems like a no-brainer, but shouldn't there be a cut out on the bottom so you can open the battery/SD card door without taking it off? Geez come on. However the dial on the bottom makes it very easy to take it on and off though for a battery change, I haven't found this too cumbersome, but this is no excuse. Oh, and it has a tripod screw hole on the bottom but it is way over to the left of the camera when using the grip. This doesn't affect me, might bother other people though.

Overall I am glad I added this as it makes the Q much more secure in the hand and looks nice.

Nice grip that improves handling

The grip is beautiful. It has the same finish as the Q and has a similar build quality. It works well in my medium sized hands, and makes handling the Q a lot more secure. Very happy with the purchase.

Shipping took three weeks to get to me, so take this into account if you choose non-expedited shipping.

Then swivel back the hand grip and tighten the thumb scrap a quarter turn and you're good to go shooting again

Very much appreciate the fit, form and security this offers. Tip - Twist the thumb screw on the bottom a quarter turn then twist the entire grip 90 degrees to access the battery and card slot on the bottom fast. Then swivel back the hand grip and tighten the thumb scrap a quarter turn and you're good to go shooting again! No need to remove it from the camera!

Great grip and fits the aesthetic of the Q very nicely. My only issue is that is a little gap between the grip and the body which results in a little give/flexibility when mounted to the camera. Also, I have no clue what the other reviewer is talking about regarding his tip "twist the thumb screw on the bottom a quarter turn then twist the entire grip 90 degrees to access the battery and card slot on the bottom fast." If you loosen the grip and turn it one direction it hits the lens and blocks the battery door from fully opening while you can't turn it at all the other direction bc of the body stopping it.
