I love the spinning/drying action of this product. All you do is soak the mop in the bucket and then put the mop head in the 'centrifuge' or spinner, press down on the handle, and voila, the mop head starts spinning and excess water is removed. I am not quite sure how it works, I am not a technical person (there are no batteries involved, and it seems a bit like a spin top toy), but in the end all I care about is that I do not have to wring this out manually but can just let this mechanism do the job, which gets the mop much drier anyway than I ever could with wringing it. Also, I've had occasional issues with painful thumbs and wrists (from typing), and so this works especially well in these circumstances as I do not have to twist my wrists/thumbs.
The only thing that I miss a bit is an actual bucket handle.Read more ›
This mop is unique in that you place it in the spinner, press down, and it spins the water out. No wringing action, no mess. It's very easy to use. It does a pretty good job of mopping, but does not have any ability to scrub. So if there are dried foods on your floor, this mop will not get them off.
The overall feel of this mop is really cheap. The handle bends if you press too hard (e.g. scrubbing), and I was worried I would break it. It does a pretty decent job of cleaning, but it's certainly not worth fifty dollars. As far as cleaning goes, my old traditional sponge mop cleans much better.
i just unpacked mine and easily assembled in minutes. i will agree with some posts, it seems flimsy and cheap, almost like an as-seen-on-tv product. the spinning handle is effortless and a genius idea, but mine has a clicking sound that leads me to believe it will break in a few months.
update: i love it. i mopped my kitchen twice.
i like the flimsy handle. i wouldn't try to raise a car with it, but the loose curve to it actually makes mopping easier to me. the mop head is light but still carries weight that you feel like you're scrubbing. i think it scrubs great.
the spin action is awesome. first i hardly spin it so the head is rather soaked, then i mop heavily and then i'll spin it excessively to dry and "sponge" up the extra wetness on the floor. it's great for soaking the floor and then drying it.
broke on the 2nd use. poor, flimsy design. totally an "as-seen-on-tv" product. cheap garbage. it's a genius idea if only all the parts were metal. 100% plastic except a cheap metal spring. mine broke when simply pressing down on the handle to spin the mop head. SNAP. little plastic piece. done. garbage. don't waste your money. i'm certain warranty will be a nightmare as the product is from germany. will update if it's not.
