The Clean Twist XL Mop Set comes with a large, microfiber floor mop with a 16.5-inch wiping width, a 5-gallon spin bucket, and a specialty handle with patented spin-technology. That patented technology is what makes Leifheit Clean Twist truly unique! The handle has a built-in spin and breaking mechanism that lets you wring out a wet mop without ever touching the mop head. The break feature also lets you control the amount of water in your mop, making this mopping system perfect for transitioning between flooring materials. And because the Leifheit Clean Twist Mop System has fewer plastic parts than the competition, there is less that can break. Leifhiet brings the best of German engineering to your home with their cleaning innovations. You get a better clean with less work, less bending, and less touching dirty mops and dirty water! Clean faster and better with the Clean Twist XL, only by Leifheit. This full cleaning system provides accessory cleaning pads (sold separately) for specific floor types: Extra soft microfiber cleaning pad (52016) for parquet, laminate and wood floors; All-purpose microfiber cleaning pad (52017) for all floor types; Static plus dry duster (52018) for smooth floors and quick cleans between mopping. And don't forget the Leifheit Rolling Cart (52100) that turns a mop bucket into a mop bucket on wheels! With 360 degree swivel, it's easy mobility without lifting the bucket. All accessories sold separately.

Would prefer a sturdier model if it is available? Guess it would be ideal for home use. I find when I use the twist operation it sprays a fine film of water everywhere.
Gives a good result.
Using this spin mop makes mopping floors almost fun. While I usually clean with steam due to all the animals in our home, every so often a deeper scrub is needed, especially in the kitchen where crud can get trapped in the grooves. That is where this spin mop comes in very handy. The deep fluff on the mop head does a good job sopping up the liquid. I still go over the floors with just water in the end to remove all the chemicals.
I subtract one star because this is a costly unit yet Leifheit only gives us one mop head. Come on, you couldn't add a second one while the first one is getting washed?
One other thing worth mentioning, the snaps that secure the mop head to the device require some umphh. My thumb strength never recovered after carpal tunnel surgery despite exercises, so I needed to step on the snaps to get them to click. This might be of interest for others with similar issues.
How long will the foot lever that unhinges the mechanism so the mop head can dive into the water last? It is plastic, and that always worries me. Time will tell how well the built quality is. But while it is working, it's great!
Second, this is a really unique mopping kit - in a good way. There is but one improvement I would make (but I'll come to that later).
The packaging is nicely done with lots of diagrams and various language descriptions of how to operate the mopping system (oddly, English is NOT one of the text versions on the box or in the instructions. Instead (I suppose for English speaking folks) there is a pictogram instruction sheet for putting together the system. Frankly its quite intuitive....
What the pictograms don't/can't tell you is that once you put the mop together you step on the mop base release (which releases the two sides of it and allows it to be dunked into the bucket's spindle). Once done, you release a catch on the handle of the mop and it spins dry - or spins damp the mop head.
Since there are no instructions in English, I assumed that the process is to release the mop head and spin it AFTER I have used the mop on the floor. By doing so any trash or large particles would be caught in the two tier strainer. From there you return the mop to the water and then put it back in the spinner to get off just a bit of the water and then you mop again.
This works quite well and both the spinning device (think Salad Spinner) and the bucket are manufacturer well enough and the bucket will certainly hold enough water and suds to get the job done.
Finally, my one complaint - and this is the case with all mopping systems. When you rinse the sponge or mop head off, you are typically doing it in the dirty water of the bucket. What would make this system even better is if there were a second reservoir where you dipped the mop into "clean" water AFTER spinning it to remove the crap from the mop head. Yes, it would make the bucket portion about double in size, but it would help make the floors THAT much cleaner.
Overall, I can't recommend this product especially for home use.
