About the Author
Geof White began working when he was 14 years old for $3.35/hour. When he graduated from high school four years later, he was earning $50/hour and paid for his college degree from Michigan State University by working for himself cleaning windows. As a teenager he marketed, advertised, and provided the best customer service he could to every customer. After graduating from college, he worked for ten years as an employee…putting profits in other people’s pockets. Now Geof owns his own businesses putting the profits in his own pocket. In the past ten years Geof’s businesses have provided employment to over 30 families and has experienced double digit growth even in economically challenging times. Now, Geof White is on a mission...to teach students how to work for themselves so they can graduate from college debt-free. Geof wrote Lemonade Stand Economics starting with one thought, “If a high school student did what I did to make money with some guidance and without making the same mistakes I did, paying for college would be easy.” He takes his personal experience as a teen working for himself, mixes in his life experience, his business acumen and a pitcher full of passion to provide students a sweet recipe for a debt-free degree.

What I love most is that It is a book about American ingenuity at a time when we wonder if we still have what it takes .
It is a book about the spirit of the individual and the ability to rise above many of the challenges we are confronted with social and economic in getting that education you want.
Face it, not all have a trust fund, or parents who have been able to salt away several thousands of dollars to help pay the tuition, room, board, lab fees, book fees, and some pizza money .
In that way I guess even down to the very title it is a book that is uniquely American. The Great " Lemonade Stand" Often a young adults first encounter with the economic system outside of allowance, and alas even that seems to be fading to a memory of an America past. But Geof White Kick starts a whole new concept of the beloved "Lemonade stand " He brings all the energy and creativity needed to build a Lemonade stand empire, and all the while doing so with a level of joy usually reserved for children .
I suppose at this time I should get with telling you what the book is about .It is about turning loose your creativity, ingenuity, intellect, thinking a little outside of the box for ways to pay for a collage education .This is a handy, well put together , and thoughtful presentation on crafting ideas and putting them to work for you.All in an effort to save yourself from being chained to tens maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.
Geof guides you through the steps of financial preparation, financial aid, and more. but the really neat part of this adventure is to find a way that will suit you personally in making money while attending school. He offers a unique support system for you to get out there and make the money you need to get through school, a little or a lot its your choice .He offers great step by step advice on how to negotiate the pitfalls of starting your own small business endeavor and how to gain the rewards of putting your ideas to work.He offers sound advice to help even the most insecure novice. He has taken the time and made the effort based on experience to frame a useful guide helpful to any. This is an ideal Book for anyone looking to start collage in the coming years or even attending now .Buy this book for a grandchild, a son or daughter, niece or nephew,a friend or a neighbor or yourself. It honestly could be a life changing purchase. Read it, think about it, talk about it, and Unleash the power of your inner lemonade salesperson.
