I used Lenmar for my iPhone 4, so I eagerly waited for them to release a version for the iPhone 5. While I waited, I took the risk and purchased the Maxboost Fusion Detachable External iPhone 5 Battery Case. The first Maxboost broke within 3 weeks and the replacement they sent (great customer service) broke 3 days later when I dropped it. (2nd was my fault) I decided to go with another brand and then saw the Lenmar was finally available.
I have now owned this since August 13th and I have experienced zero problems. The battery life is actually more than expected. I do a lot of hiking and leave my GPS running on my phone so I can have a GPS record of my hikes. After 7 hours, the phone was still at 100% and the phone was showing a blue LED (roughly 25-50% charge left)

Solid case provides decent protection
VERY long battery life for my usage
Comfortable to hold
Dislikes:
Adds a little bit of bulk, but that is expected with battery case
Charging does take a little longer than I expected, but I charge it overnight, so not an issue for me.
I saw an earlier post where someone mentioned the top part breaking for them. I make no judgment, but mine slides into place smooth as silk. If I do not have it aligned properly, there will be a little bit of resistance and I know to realign. My top piece is not flimsy at all. In fact, it is hard plastic that barely flexes.
Lenmar might be a lesser known name than Mophie, but if they continue to make quality cases, that might change.

I really love the concept of a battery case. This is the first I've ever bought. Initially, I was very happy with it, but since I've had it awhile, I've noticed a few issues.Pros:- The main body of the case feels sturdy- The the sound from the bottom of the phone is directed out the front from the two slits. This really helps while watching videos. Now I don't have to use my hand to awkwardly form a cup on the side of the phone to "funnel" the sound toward my face.- The battery! It's really fantastic to have the extra power without being near an outlet. My wife is really jealous!Cons:- There is a slight gap between the top piece and the bottom piece of the case. This doesn't really affect operation at all, I was just hoping for a more "seamless" fit.- The upper portion of the case feels a little flimsy when not attached to the phone itself. The plastic that covers the phone's volume buttons easily bends when there is no phone in it.- I have to remove the phone every night for charging. For whatever reason, The case does not stop charging my phone when it hits 100%. This means that instead of plugging it in at night and letting it charge first the phone, then the case, it will ONLY charge the phone to 100% and never charge the case. To get around this, I remove the case each night and charge both separately and reassemble in the morning.- The bottom of the case has developed some chips along the seam that I can scrape off with my finger. I have yet to drop it, and the chips can be made larger just by scraping gently with my fingernail. Other small imperfections can be seen on the sides of the case along the seam also. I believe this is where the chips came from.- The description claims it is a "rubberized" case. It is not. It is a smooth, shiny plastic.The grip is more than acceptable, though.All in all, I don't think I would purchase it again. I LOVE the extra battery life, but I would go with another case. I have attached photos of the chips out of the bottom as well as the "gap" between the two pieces. I'm a little OCD and this drives me CRAZY!UPDATE 07-09-2015: The provided headphone jack "extender" now has a short in the 1cm wire which causes constant popping. It seems like there are definitely some QC issues at work here.
