After purchasing chrome books for my teenagers, two from Dell and two from Samsung, I decided that would be the closest thing to what I was looking for, affordability, portability and ease of use. My teenagers use them daily for school work, games and etc. So I sat down with one of them and quickly realized the limitations of using a product built around aps. I was pleased with battery life, the cost and the portability, but I wanted something more useable for my purposes.
I then came across this Lenovo. Basically a chrome book built for those wanting an extremely portable laptop. While I still prefer Windows 7, Windows 10 is a reality we have to learn to use. This product is very well built as every Lenovo I've owned (this is my third). I'm very pleased with the battery life and the quick start up. While I'm certain this is powerful enough to play many games, it is not a gaming system. For heavier applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, I have a quad-core computer and a dual-core laptop. I am able to run Adobe Lightroom on this, but of course if you are serious about something like photography, as I am you would want a larger more enhanced screen.
There are a couple of things I would change if I could. First, the camera is great and the ability to flip from front to back is ingenious. But personally I have no use for a camera on here. Most of us have a smart phone for that. Second, a back-lit keyboard would be awesome. Both of my other laptops have it and it is the one thing I miss the most. Finally, micro-SD? I understand many phones and etc. use micro, but many of us don't, we use regular SD cards. Adapters come with most of the micro cards to be able to use them in standard slots, but for the rest of us we have to purchase a USB adapter to use our SD cards. This is my biggest complaint, but I see the entire chrome-book industry going to the micro slots.
This is a great product, especially for a price under $200!
I've called Lenovo many times about the product crashing and freezing, blue screens with "FAULTY HARDWARE" errors, alongside a few others and would not take it in the get it checked since the technician told me it's a software issue which is not covered under warranty. I've never had anything like this before with any other of my Lenovo products and I am sorely disappointed with my purchase. I cannot return it back to amazon only because it has passed the first 30 days of return, which means now I am stuck with this laptop...
Speed is mediocre, websites like facebook run terribly freezing when loading videos, the device seems to have an issue with maintaining an internet connection dropping out for no reason so I have to turn off and on my wifi, and a few other issues that even with my expertise of computers, I cannot seem to pin down. For example, the trackpad sometimes not registering my touch for a solid 5-7 seconds before working again.
If you want to buy a school laptop, GO WITH SOMETHING ELSE!

1. appearance. the entire idea behind this laptop is totally against lightweight. heavy, chunky, bulky. as an 11-inch laptop, these words can all be used for the description. although it claimed rugged for using, in real life, I will never give any hard time to my electronics ever, neither all my friends. so all I want to have is a slim, lightweight laptop, because if I want to have a power horse, I will definitely go seek for something 14-inch or 15.6-inch, but not this 11-inch one. so if your anticipation is a lightweight & slim one, swerve over this product.it's not good for you.
2. screen. I fully understand that this is not a fancy one. however (this is such a big however), the screen is flagrantly horrendous. zero degrees of vertical viewing angles and less than 10 degrees of horizontal ones. but to some extent, it is acceptable for me since I can literally focus on the screen directly from the right angle above. but, but, but, the color gamut and the gamma correction is just horrible and unbearable! after several hours of screen color calibration, I still couldn't find a decent screen setup to accommodate my eyes; in other words, after 5 mins staring at the screen, my eyes are drowsy and dry and my whole brain is woozy. no exaggeration, you will know what I mean after you receive this laptop if you have already ordered it.
3. speed. fairly okay but definitely lower than my expectation. I know it's a cheap laptop, and due to my limit budget, I am prepared for the performance of this guy; but still disappointed a little bit after testing it for real. 4GB ddr3 RAM combined with N3050 CPU and 64 SSD, the system should be okay enough to handle several pages of web browsing, am I right? but it's not. hiccups here and there; lag, sluggishness is very common. but overall, it passed the speed test, which means it is still usable as a multitasking machine.
4. ports. I am not sure that whether it's only me got a defect one or it commonly occurs a lot, the 3 USB ports don't work perfectly. sometimes they could read my flash drive but sometimes they don't and you need to unplug it and do it again. I know it's a minor one but I have to mention it.
5. battery life and keyboard. not as it boasts like 12 or 13 hours, the real life test is about 7 hours when the last drop of battery juice is gone. so it's absolutely fine, but not great. the keyboard is a decent one, I pretty much like their page up and down buttons which locate very near to direction buttons. it makes scrolling pages very easy when you read PDF or something.
conclusion: okay, wrap it up. my verdict is here: unless you really wanna waste some money on some cheap devices, just don't buy it. I know everyone who is looking for a 11-inch laptop under this category literally want some convenient, lightweight, and slim alternatives. the screen is horrible, the viewing angle is trash, gamma balance is shit, drowsy eyes every minute. those two huge drawbacks nailed down its tomb. if you are a writer, stay away; if you are a movie lover, stay away; and if you are a kid, stay away either, ask your dad or mom for something better, probably MacBook. So all in one: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ONE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
I'm not advertising, but if you really need something similar to this laptop, my recommend is ASUS E200HA. actually, right now I am writing this review on ASUS E200HA, which I ordered and received after I returned Lenovo N22 back. so just go for it, you won't get disappointed, thumbs up for ASUS, btw.
