Why so much hate? This is a great laptop

Why so much hate? This is a great laptop. I'm a physician, and I carry it around all day. So light I almost don't even know it's there.

Deeply regret buying this laptop

At the time I bought mine, it was the lightest laptop available. I thought that was very important. No I deeply regret letting that guide my decision.

The display spec sheet looks great, but in reality it is poorly suited to this laptop.The resolution on this 13" screen is 2560x1440. 1920x1080 would have been too small, but then they kicked it up another notch. Windows 10 has dpi scaling to TRY to compensate, but that is not uniform across all apps. Prepare to squint. Like all the time. Display isn't bright enough, either. A few pixels on the screen have now gone bad.

The keyboard is a disaster. If you are considering buying this laptop, get a good image of the keyboard first and compare that to what you're used to. The placement of everything is way off. The shift key is the size of the tip of your pinky. Some critical buttons like END, HOME are only available if you hold down the tiny FN key.

Audio? Imagine plugging in your earbuds and then leaving them sitting on the table. That's the exact same effect. not loud at all and tinny.

Performance is good, but not amazing. It uses an i7 processor but only has two actual cores. The onboard solid state drive is really fast.

All told, however. I hate this laptop. I use an external display, keyboard, and mouse whenever I can. Look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

If you want lightweight laptop, go for this one. I wanted only that and that is the best thing about this.
BUT.
1. I had to get a usb port for wireless adapter to connect to wireless while all the other devices could connect to my homewireless without any problem.
2. The speaker volume is terrible. I always use my Bose speakers when I actually want to listen to something.

I still love the fact that it is very portable...
But I wouldn't recommend it to others.

No more Lenovo.

Not very reliable ,bad tech support.
Customer bought one in May ,keyboard is DOA right now.
Lenovo tech support had him reset to factory wiping out all of his data and apps.
Now it needs to get shipped to Texas for repairs ,no onsite repairs.
No more Lenovo.
