TL;DR: The unit was faulty from the factory, exhibiting shoddy quality control, and now I am rethinking my decision to purchase this unit.
Edit/Update: I did decide to give this another chance, and ordered another. The bad thing about that is that even though it was only 2-3 days after the first order THE PRICE WENT UP $40! I didn't realize this until after I had already submitted the purchase and so that's my own fault. Still, it's annoying to purchase something and have it be faulty, and then have to pay more for a replacement just because it was from Amazon and the price went up. If I had purchased it in a store, they would have replaced the item at original cost. Back to the computer itself. I have really come to like the laptop, now that I got one that works. After spending some time updating drives and installing windows updates/8.1 it seems to be working well.Read more ›
The only complaint I would make is that i had read one review before I had purchased this laptop where they had said the mouse would sometimes move of its own accord, and could be really frustrating. That was the only person who had mentioned that issue, so I had assumed it was just a defect with their machine. Unfortunately, mine has the same issue. I haven't tried sending it back to the manufacturer or anything to get it fixed, because it doesn't bother me that much. Essentially what happens is sometimes when I'm not touching the mousepad, the mouse will move or click and can mess up what I'm doing. I found an easy solution: there's a shortcut button where F6 is (the F keys you need to press "Fn" before you can use them, if you don't they are used as shortcut keys like sound/brightness/airplane mode) and one of these shortcut keys will disable the mouse. If you disable it all the time and use a regular mouse, you'll never have this problem, or just disable the mouse when you type, it tends to help (i think its because sometimes I touch the mousepad when I type, as it is fairly big). Also, when the mouse goes on the fritz, just push the button to disable the mouse and then push it again and your mouse should work fine. Works for me.Read more ›
Another issue pointed by other reviewers: touchpad is somewhat possessed... it moves on its own. Sometimes when I am on the desktop interface it just switches to the tiles. (I'm not even touching the pad or the keyboard).
I think the most important thing to note is the really cheap material Levono used for the keyboard. I mean, every time I type I can literally see the board bend a bit. You can also add a little bit of pressure to see the board bend a bit. That's kinda scary. I wouldn't want to use a laptop that has cheap material.. I mean, what if the laptop falls apart whilst I am working? Then what?

Great deal at the time. This machine is of a class where the specs look great on paper but performance is just ok. Nevertheless it is reliable and allows me to get my work done.Published 14 months ago by Qays Arthur
