love love love the build of it.. solid but light, the screen view is beautiful, I love typing on it.. smooth easy keys. I've never had any issues at all with this laptop. I really like it but ... the bad
battery life is an hour to an hour and a 1/2 no matter what you do. If Lenovo had any self respect they would give everyone a better battery at a cheap price or at least load us up with three so we can complete some work without being plugged in. I don't have too much of an issue with it because I am always around a plug in since I can plug it into my car but to say it has a 5 hour battery life is appalling.
the second is not lenovo's issue .. it is windows 8.. i understand the idea but until it is more seemless with google play it really doesn't translate very well. i like it but i really don't like having to learn all the new stuff .. I wish would of bought win 7.. I am going for a new desktop soon and I guarantee it will not be anything but win 7.. they can keep the win 8 and above.
I also have a lenovo tablet and I just love the way they feel. I've had several hp's and dells and they just don't have the same solid feel.. i don't feel like I am going to break this thing when I pick it up.. even though it is really light.
in conculsion... if it wasn't for the battery I would give it 5 stars since they aren't the one's choosing the operating system.
Tried plugging the charger, nope! no lights on . I always anticipated this and always backed up data to the cloud, except for some downloaded files which I haven't backed up in a few days. So I don't feel too bad about losing my data.
I think somethings wrong with the power port , or the mother board. However , it won't get fixed for less than $150. Even if i get it fixed, no one's going to guarantee it will die the next day. So I'm ditching it.
Also I calculated the time of usage, approximately 22 months. Was it worth? I think I'm okay... i paid approximately $14 to use it for 22 months.
Should I expect the same if I go for a Lenovo which costs like $800. I won't ! And I won't possibly go for a Lenovo.
The quality seems suspect - every now & again, the touch pad will stop working, sometimes it's the touchscreen which will stop..infuriating!
Seriously, don't waste your money on this; buy something else. I wish I did!
