Had to return it because the keyboard felt defective. It was soft and means you have to push HARD on every key entered or it may not register at all!
Bad for typing, gaming, and overall functionality since keyboards are a HUGE part of how you interact with it.
Really really not worth it. Other laptops will perform just as well or better but give you a good user input experience.
Happy with my replacement:

There have been some complaints on here about how the machine is noisy. If you have it running at full power (check the power settings in Windows), the fan will run constantly, but it's actually very quiet, sort of a pleasant little whir at the very loudest. It's far quieter than my previous machine. The fan on that thing ran nearly all the time, and it was loud enough to drown out its own crappy speakers.
Speaking of speakers, the sound system on this thing is awesome. I had to dink around a little with the settings to get my headphones to sound right--just set the Smart Audio (in the Control Panel) to Multi Stream (not classic) and you're good to go.
The fact that it gets hottest right by the vents, even when running heavy gaming programs, is a testament to this thing's engineering. If the spot where it's hottest is where the heat is being vented--and not, say the processor--it's doing its job pretty well by getting heat out.
As for overall performance, this machine runs wonderfully for the price. I've only run a few games on it--Oblivion, Divinity II, Divinity OS, and Mount and Blade: Warband (with battle sizes at maximum), but those run cleanly with very few issues (and any issues I have had actually stem from limitations on the games themselves--Oblivion, and I think M&B, for instance, refuse to recognize that you have more than 2 Gigs of RAM). I did some price checking before buying this computer. For something with the same power direct from a manufacturer, you'd have to pay 3x to 4x as much. It's a great deal, and it does its job well.
So aside from the minor gripes I have (for which I've knocked off one star), I definitely recommend this thing, especially if you're looking for a sleek, moderately powerful laptop for mid- to sort of high-range computing.
