Selling used junk

The seller sold a used power supply as new. It died after 8 hours, so I decided to take it apart based on some of the previous reviews from other sellers. On examination of the internal parts I can see the company had trimmed the RFI shielding and plastic wrapper to remove and re-solder a new AC connector and new DC power cord. But they did not even hook up the AC ground to the circuit board solder pad. So this was probably some recycle junk that Lenovo sold off to a recycler who then decided to resell as new stuff. Nice!

UPDATE!!!
The company did provide a full refund to me shortly after I emailed them. They were very active in making sure I was reimbursed in full. While I do appreciate the company's attention to the refund, a better solution is to ensure that products are sold as advertised.

Pretty darn good

This was a second charger for my X60 Tablet. I wanted one to leave in the office. Because it's the 90 watt version, charging is rather quick and substantially faster than with the stock 45 watt charger. But both the original charger and this one lack a snug fit where the cord meets the power block. It really takes little to kick it loose. Apple has a really light connection to their laptops and the sell it as a feature. If someone kicks the cord, it's far less likely to pull the laptop off the table. OK. I'm pretending I have that feature too. The only really "downside" I see to this product in the couple months I've owned it is it's bigger and heavier than the original power block/cord. For the true road warrier, you have to decide what's more important to you: (1) a faster charge that this gives you; or (2) saving a little weight and space in you bag. I now can choose. Because I almost never use my laptop on the battery, I guess I could have gone with the lighter cord without downside, but the truth is now I have a choice of either.

I've had none of the problems others here say that they have had. I would have to recommend this product based on my experiences with it.

Did not receive Lenovo adapter - Cheap Imitation

Bought this adapter thinking I was actually purchasing a Lenovo product, not some cheap knockoff. I received the product and was immediately turned off by the fact that it didn't have any specific name brands or labels. Based off the price, I wasn't really surprised but I at least expected the adapter to last longer than 1 charge. Boy was I sadly, sadly mistaken.

After only a few hours of having the adapter plugged in, I noticed the block looking slightly warped. This is obviously not what you expect when trying to charge your computer. The reason I noticed this warp was I hard a slight *pop* come for that direction. I immediately unplugged everything and hoped my laptop wasn't dead. Thankfully everything was ok and my laptop is still alive today. I did not accept a replacement unit, nor did I purchase this product again.

**Note** When I submitted a request for return/my money back, the seller did give me a full refund and did not want the adapter back. This does not increase the number of stars the product receives but I appreciate the prompt response and handling of the situation.

I bought this cord as a replacement for my old Lenovo cord that was fraying. I'm unhappy with this product for two reasons: the quality is poor, and it's partially incompatible with the old cord.

First, there are two parts of the laptop cord: the part that goes from the wall to the box, and the box and laptop half.

Right out of the box I was annoyed that that they changed the format of the "wall to box" part (it went from two prong polarized to three prong grounded). I wanted to use the old part that wasn't broken with the new one, but I can't because for some reason I now need a grounded cord.

However, I can excuse that (and I'm sure that I seem neurotic to some for being upset about that at all, but I don't care. I hate products that don't keep to consistent standards).

The bigger problem is that the whole thing has almost completely stopped working. After a year of normal use the new cord got finicky. I would have to jiggle the "wall to box" part, where it connects to the box. Sometimes, I think it's the other end that is also a problem. The old cord (although frayed) still works fine, so I know the problem is the new cord, and not the laptop.

The box says Lenovo, so I think it's legit. I think that a Lenovo cord should last for more than a year. I guess that I'm glad that it worked at all?

Does Everything It Promises... but one small problem

This product is exact what I needed when my old power cord finally died. If you're looking for a cheap replacement for the original power cord, this is perfect. Does everything it should.

That being said, it has two small problems. One is a design flaw the original power cord had, and that is just behind the plug into the computer, it can start to fray and break because it sticks straight out. That was how my original cord died, and I have heard many others complain about the same design flaw. Unfortunately, unless you want a pricey cord that's not exactly for the ThinkPad, you'll have to live with it. I wrapped it heavily in electric tape this time right off the bat in hopes it will help.

The other flaw is that there is a quiet but high pitched whine once the laptop is fully charged and is plugged in. Unplugging the cord instantly stops the whine. Not enough that I'm ready to throw the cord in the trash, but annoying and something I never had with the original, Lenovo-bought cord.

I'd still recommend getting this, but keep in note these two small problems.
